iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I genuinely hate seeing creators "pick up a headset" review it day one and never follow it up like it should die by it's day one sins. Steam Frame is good, has issues, but has a lot of hope. Focus Vision sucked. Was good. Then sucked again. A good hardware review requires follow ups.

Everyone else: Hardware amazing ngl. Software needs tweaks. Whoever made it where you can accidentally toggle off Laser Mouse can eat my shit. It's so light. This is everything I was HOPING from the Focus Vision and more. But hold on, early days. I'm not done reviewing it yet.

Linux Users: Be patient as we have to be. 1) You have to boot up SteamVR FIRST on Desktop manually or it won't open VR games properly 2) Make sure you're on a modern Kernel. Mint and other older distros have issues. 3) It's worked GREAT after some time tweaking but not an "out the box experience"

I have two reactions when hearing “Wake Me Up When September Ends” The first is being 13 years old with one of those cheap usb stick 128mb MP3 players during a BANGING Summer The other reaction is cry.

Fighting space slinkies and DarlEGGS was certainly on point with some of the more questionable episode over the last 60 years.

Just submitted my ‘Doctor Who’ tender bid. Fun story, I played The Doctor in a parody fan film back in 2015 and I genuinely WENT for it when doing this role. It was a comedy but I COULD NOT HELP MYSELF!

Deadass loving the new Grand Tour. Good chemistry by the end of the season, they're nice and wholesome to each other yet competitive and cheeky in a really fun way. I think a new era of Car Show TV is gunna start.

Everything is coming up healthy, everything is in RAIDZ2 so can lose 2 drives and be fine, I’m keeping an eye on it and still keeping my original drives that were all scattered around anyway just in case.

Okay, maybe I need to reconfirm the second half as hyperbole didn’t work. Their thoughts and feelings that enable me to be a better partner. How to make them happy, where they want to eat, what they wanna do, that directness without demand that makes room for no confusion.

I needed more storage but SSD’s and normal Hard Drives are expensive. It’s £190 for a 4TB IronWolf HDD It’s £300-500 for a 4TB SSD! So instead I spent £550 on used 60TB JBOD Server instead. That’s £9.16 per TERABYTE.

We love therapy but sometimes you get mad when you put connections together. BUT WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS HOT WHEN SOMEONE TELLS ME WHERE THEY WANNA EAT AND GET EXCITED ABOUT A PLAN THEY WANNA DO!?

Had a therapy moment yesterday when I realised I’m HIGHLY attracted to clear communication and bluntness because I grew up with people who didn’t prioritise their feelings or played games when communicating with each other. So now I get turned on when people tell me their thoughts and emotions.

I’d love to make it a thing where there’s a Furry Press account where folks with actual training get together to respond to things. So furries can forward journalists and press there when approached so they don’t have to be pressured and someone with training can respond with accurate info.

I understand cost, especially now. Not making an American V Rest of World argument. Genuinely curious as to why so many don’t get one? My current theory is you don’t get many holiday days anyway so international travel isn’t as possible as EU folks. I’m from the UK so it’s required everywhere.

Bardic RJ 🐾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 @bardicrj.com · 29/08/2026

Question for American friendos? People in the EU don’t need a passport to travel just ID, but I know so many with passports anyway. When I talk to Americans about maybe doing a European Con. I’m mostly told they don’t have passports. Is there a weird vibe about getting your passports or?
