I also lost a ball in the sun in the outfield which sucks, but y'know, happens. I also learnt that my left knee is extremely not on board with the whole 'playing sport' thing. After three hours I could barely walk up the stairs from the clubhouse level.

That was genuinely one of the best experiences I have ever had at the K. I hit the ball solidly a couple of times and might have got seeing-eye hits the other way and up the middle. I actually learnt what I was doing wrong with my swing and might be able to fix it with practice.

The season ticket member renewal perk this year is on-field batting practice at the K and it is so much fun. I am a terrible hitter and not a great outfielder, but I am still having a great time. #Royals

Belated #HeyHeyHeyHey! We lingered for a while at the ballpark. It was a fun game, but the last game home game always has a bite to it. It's worse this year too, since I can't even say with any confidence when there will be #Royals baseball again. Normally I can look ahead to next spring.

Visiting scorecard. The Guardians scored two runs, both on solo home runs. They also were saving their starter for Game One of the ALDS, leading to a pair of odd-looking pitching lines, with the starter going three innings and one reliever going five.

Royals side of the scorecard. Lynch IV pitched well and Vinnie hit two solo home runs, the second of which was the game winner. Erceg got the save too, which was great to see.

The rest of the answers to the question (there are many). I selected that I have never heard of this 'game' (quotation marks theirs) and have no idea what it's called. Though I did suggest to my wife 'some frat boy shit' as a name for the 'throwing knives at each other' game.

So I don't think my results are super meaningful. For most of the quiz it was actually trying to guess Minnesota, which is very wrong, but some of the later questions pointed its algorithm more to California and the eastern seaboard. But I did have fun with it.

Dialect map results. It skews westward, with California and New Mexico as the two strongest. I suppose I have at least been to both places?

Obviously no individual hitter should go easy on a position player pitching. The stats all count the same! But as a team I feel at some point you should stop beating up on the guy and finish the game. Send a pitcher to hit.

Pitching lines for Milwaukee tonight. The starter got shelled, but Andrew Vaughn gave up seven runs on nine hits in two innings, including three home runs.
