A panel from the comic, two anthropomorphic cat kids are talking.

One says "Ew, no! Why would I do that?"

The other is laying on a green couch, holding a notebook, and responds "Why not?"

At the bottom of the image it says "Full comic on my website!"

The next animation is going well! A new 21 second clip of animatic for it is now on my Patreon! www.patreon.com/c/BanditCat

Bandit Cat @banditcatart.com · 07/06/2026

I'm starting a little comic! It'll mostly have a comedic tone, sometimes only with the intent of being funny, and sometimes more observational. I'll try to post a new one every week, a second one is already available on my patreon, as well as a preview of my next animation! patreon.com/BanditCat

A short comic featuring two anthropomorphic cat kids.

First panel: One kid is sitting on the ground in front of a crt tv, slamming a game controller on the ground, and saying: Ugh, I'm done with this game, it's too hard! Meanwhile, his sister walks down the stairs behind him.

Second panel: The sister is now standing next to him and says: Why don't you just turn down the difficulty?

Third panel: He replies: Where's the fun in that?

Fourth panel: She looks annoyed and says: Are you having fun now?

Fifth panel: She walks away as he sits looking at the ground. He appears to be considering whether or not he actually enjoys the game.

For the last few months I've been completely remaking the website for my series Tales of the Afterworld! It's now done! (the home page still needs some formatting to work right on mobile, I'm still figuring that out) talesoftheafterworld.com

While my original animation for Lemon Demon's "Fine" ends after the first chorus, I've just started the second verse and chorus for my new version! It'll probably be about twice the length of the original! You can see some work in progress clips of the new parts on my Patreon! patreon.com/BanditCat

The way I rendered it was by putting each layer into Blender and adding some space between them to get realistic shadows as if it were animated on physical cels!

A screenshot of the layers of a digital animation split up in Blender to create shadows in the 3D space, mimicking the shadows that are created by cels in traditional physical aniamtion

Bandit Cat @banditcatart.com · 05/04/2026

It's not really close to being done yet, but I wanted to do a fully rendered test of my next animation! Here's a little preview! A full 1:02 is available here: www.patreon.com/posts/fine-a... #animation #2danimation #art #cartoon

Here's a very rough preview of my next project! It's a remake of my first music video ever, which will be 3 years old this June! The song used for this one will be Lemon Demon's "Fine" from the "Live (Only Not)" album! 40 seconds of rough animation can be seen on my Patreon! patreon.com/BanditCat

My next animation is just about done! Next week it'll release on Patreon (where there's also a new update today!) Then a bit after that it'll be up on youtube! patreon.com/BanditCat #animation #2danimation

The thumbnail for the animation. A group of anthropomorphic animals (from left to right, a bat, a ferret, a skunk, and a rabbit) stand in a dimly lit hall with purple tentacles threateningly moving toward them. They all look scared, except for the rabbit, who has a very wide grin

Bandit Cat @banditcatart.com · 12/01/2026

I've finished another set of turnaround sheets! These designs are a bit more complicated than the last two, so they have quite a few variants not shown here! I'm reworking the website for Tales of the Afterworld right now, and when it's done all version will be able to be viewed there! #animation

Here's a little look at how I'm doing backgrounds for my next animation! The finished result is entirely drawn in 2D, but with a 3D reference to make perspective easier and more consistent! More behind the scenes stuff can be seen here: www.patreon.com/c/BanditCat #animation #2danimation

Bandit Cat @banditcatart.com · 28/12/2025

To keep the characters more on model for my next animation, I'm working on some better turnaround sheets! More turnaround sheets and short previews of the animation can be seen here: www.patreon.com/c/BanditCat #animation #2danimation

Turnaround sheet for an anthropomorphic ferret that is wearing a dark red cloak and a belt with a bag hanging on the right hip.

Turnaround sheet for the same ferret, but without the cloak and belt.

Turnaround sheet for an anthropomorphic skunk that is wearing a purple cloak and some gear to hold various weapons. She has a scar on her right eye and left ribs.

Turnaround sheet for the same skunk, but without any of the equipment.

Bandit Cat @banditcatart.com · 22/12/2025

I'm using a lot of new techniques for my next animation that should help the characters stay more on model, as well as massive improvements in the quality of backgrounds! More previews can be seen here: www.patreon.com/c/BanditCat
