Lindsey Graham: A Faithful Servant of the American Foreign Policy Establishment. The article argues that Lindsey Graham is more than an individual political figure—he represents the remarkable continuity of the American foreign policy establishment across changing administrations.

People will celebrate bigger teams - but this might be the most meaningful World Cup qualification of them all. The Iraq national football team story hits different. 🇮🇶 🇹🇯 #IraqQualifiedfortheWorldCup

My latest piece for @theamargi.bsky.social explores the #TrumpEpstein files connection many have contemplated at the start of the war with Iran, where attention was consumed by the release of Epstein-related files and speculation around elite compromise.

My latest for @theamargi.bsky.social alongside Prof @usempire.bsky.social dropped yesterday: Why Israel Became Washington’s Closest Ally Debates about the US–Israel relationship often focus on lobbying power in Washington. But this misses the deeper reality.

March 16, 1988, Halabja. They rained chemicals on our people and thought it would erase us. But a nation that survives gas, bombs, and betrayal cannot be erased. Your oppressor will never be your saviour. And the Kurds will never die. #existenceisresistance. #Halabja #Kurdistan

My latest article in @theconversation.com , co-authored with Prof @usempire.bsky.social , “Middle East conflict shows the real meaning of Trump’s America First foreign policy,” examines what the latest escalation in the region reveals about the deeper logic of #DonaldTrump’s foreign policy.

Our latest article in @theamargi.bsky.social co-authored with @usempire.bsky.social : 'Israel as Proxy, Not Puppet Master: How US Imperial Logic Drives the Alliance - Not the Lobby' addresses the debate on whether US Middle East policy is lobby-driven, or a deep structural alliance.

The #IEA’s 400m barrel release sounds huge until you add context. The world consumes ~100m barrels of oil per day, meaning this “historic” intervention equals about four days of global demand. A short-term shock absorber, not structural solution to an energy crisis triggered by war.

Latest piece in @thewire.in alongside the great @usempire.bsky.social : US-Israeli strikes on Iran didn’t just escalate a conflict - they exposed the bipartisan machinery of American primacy and the ease with which diplomacy is sidelined in favour of military spectacle.

My second piece in @the-independent.com My position is consistent: if diplomacy is available, war is a failure. We are living in an era where the war industry is not just powerful - it is profitable. Conflict generates contracts, headlines, and political theatre.

Towards the end of last week got a lot of #Media calls & messages from senior editors and #journalists asking whether #Trump & the #US would attack #Iran if there were any disagreements on negotiations between the two countries during negotiations. My answer was NO on every call-here’s why:

January was a hell of a month! Two op-eds on Iran for The Conversation turned into something much bigger - debuting in The Independent (UK) and being quoted as one of the other credible voices on Iran and Trump’s war calculus by The New York Times (US)…

My latest for @theamargi.bsky.social :The Return of #Thucydides at Davos: Mark Carney, a Broken World Order, and the Kurdish Moment of Truth: When Carney said “the old order is not coming back,” he wasn’t being dramatic - he was naming a rupture. For Kurds, this is an existential warning.
