Many hours in Blender lol If you ever want a quick run-down of my approach, feel free to hit me up. Most of it was straight-forward Blender animation. The only weird bits were re-rigging with Rigify, post-processing with ImageMagick to get the crunchy dithering, and scripting the material changes.

A character reference sheet for an anthropomorphic pine marten. The character's color scheme does not reflect their species and verges on garish. Regardless, they appear friendly. You should give them your credit card information. They are very normal and can be trusted with credit card information.

I took more cursed thermal images with my thermal-thermal camera contraption at #FC2025! I also exported the raw images this time, as some of them have neat details that were lost when printed. The box-o-gen and balloon dog in particular have some great details that got scrunched pretty hard

I intend to release the STLs to verified Hyenid owners in the creator's Discord, but I strongly encourage everyone who wanted a lamp to try making one from scratch. It's a great learning opportunity for some Blender basics, like working with edit mode, mesh bisecting, and using the boolean modifier.

The mesh was taken from the Hyenid VRChat avatar by @alberarts.bsky.social, chopped in to 4 chunks, printed out with 2kg of PLA, glued and pinned together, and then painted and sanded a bunch. It definitely needed more sanding and higher print quality, but luckily fishnets hide a lot of crimes.

It's been pretty good! I've been running the whole setup for over 9 hours today and the 37w (advertised) USB battery pack is still at ~35% - and that's while broadcasting a WiFi AP for maintenance too My only complaint about the Zero W 2 is that it's still micro-USB :/

I managed to throw together a little contraption just in time for #MFF2024 - a thermal camera with a built-in thermal printer! It's been working surprisingly well so far, and the reactions have been great when people get thermal prints of their thermal pics
