The vastness of the universe does not make ourselves and our problems any less significant

I think this is referencing Kaladin's character arc from the Stormlight Archive

I'm not the biggest fan of leather-bounds, but I'm so excited for these purely because we're getting more official artwork

Based on what we've seen in Stormlight and Era 2, I think it'll be a grey area depending on the perspective of the characters and the goals of the specific sect

Is there gonna be a YouTube playlist with these?

My one complaint is that I want her scar to be even nastier.

I can't speak to if it's good or not because I can't play it. Exclusives hurt gamers

Omg could you imagine? Im already confusing the abbreviation with the Wheel of Time I don't think I would be able to handle Winds of Truth

Her growth in the second half of the series makes her one of my favorite characters

The audiobooks are amazing and the listening aspect makes it a bit easier to pay attention in my experience

"Nothing I do is for show" is such an amazing line from an amazing character

Here's the thing: if someone asks you, "Have you read [book]??" And you reply "no" (because you listened to the audiobook), you're obviously being absurd. They were asking if you absorbed the book, not if your eyes scanned the pages. And that's how I know that audiobooks "count" as reading.

Like obviously you're not "reading" in the sense of using your eyes to parse words, but reading as we use it is to experience a story that's contained in a book. In that context (the context that is relevant to the conversation) audiobooks are absolutely reading

Love that old post (I think from tumblr) that goes something like "Your ancestors didn't retain oral tradition for thousands of years for you to say that audiobooks 'don't count' as reading"

I was reading Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson in the dentist waiting room and my dentist saw as he called me in. He recommended me the Wheel of Time saying it was the pinnacle of fantasy books. 14 books later I have to agree with him lmao

Thom is one of my favorite characters so having a reduced role in the first season and being cut completely from season 2 is a pretty big one for me

I don't think I've ever been more satisfied when finishing a book series

I wouldn't exactly call what Martin does these days "writing" but yeah all the big fantasy authors have been doing this for 20+ years so don't feel bad for not having insane word counts

I'm down for more commander options, but it reaches a point where you just get overwhelmed and a lot of cool cards get lost. I think I'd like to see Wotc scale back to 100 or so per year
