They will unearth data centres and think that these were religious sites given the amount of precious metals and minerals used in the ancients ceremonies

UK shares findings of damning climate crisis national security report suppressed under Starmer
El Niño poses critical threat to nations’ defences, says Ed Miliband in presentation to global foreign ministers The UK has warned countries around the world that the climate and nature crises and the coming El Niño threaten their national security and defence, presenting foreign ministries with the findings of an explosive report suppressed under Keir Starmer. Ed Miliband, the foreign secretary, made a presentation to the foreign ministers of the EU as well as Kenya and other countries on Wednesday night at a private meeting during the UN general assembly in New York, based on the report by the UK’s spy chiefs that found the collapse of natural systems around the world would lead to conflict, migration and food shortages. In winter’s tale the answer was still ignored. The Greeks may have wished for the same clarity but if they did not like the answer they probably would have done the same and ignored it. The oracles had a better chance of keeping their jobs by being obscure

Also an acceleration of transfer of wealth from the public to the private sector (the airports being one example)

I am seeing a lot of FUD being propagated in other spaces regarding Canada’s “associate” membership with the EU. All of these are strawman arguments and probably originate in sources in our southern neighbour. Meanwhile there are plenty of valid criticisms of Carneys policies that could be made:

That is a problem for the next generation next year… too long term to plan for for most humans. Perhaps they will eat the data centres …. we can only hope.

Having seen things from the private sector (in IT) I can safely say that the private sector is not interested in funding research in Canada. Most of them do not even fund proper training- preferring to hire people with the skills magically thinking that someone else will cover the costs.

Yep. He does not have any background in the area. Though given Mr Solomon’s past I would not be surprised if there were some other back channels going on. I expect when he leaves the post he will get a cushy well paid job at one of the AI companies

From the article that was for one of the arrests. They also used the zines abd book club as evidence that the people were terrorists. As the article later goes on to say this is not new in the US and such tactics were used in the 70s to lock up people.

Not really news, once the relying on funding ends they need a actual revenue stream and to make a profit to survive as a company…

Does not matter if it was AI or not. The final decision and ok for the marketing was done by a human and the senior management and up are ultimately responsible. They should have known better especially as this was done by the local team. Not that I have much sympathy for Starbucks anyway
