Balazs Lorinczi - Dream Girl Disaster out November 10! @balakin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Weird dreams! Enemies to lovers! (🤔?) John Carpenter references! My new original graphic novel, DREAM GIRL DISASTER, from @topshelfcomix.bsky.social comes out EXACTLY ONE MONTH FROM TODAY! 😱😱 So have some preview pages and while you are at it why not pre-order it from your favorite book seller!👀

Preview page from the graphic novel, Dream Girl Disaster. One of the characters is hanging off a cliff, looking down at some people (seemingly dead) lying at the bottom of the cliff. She looks up at the person holding her hand, who is a tough looking black woman with a white mo-hawk, kneeling down and holding a smoking gun. She says "Stop staring and get up already!"
Music notes appear.

Second preview page from Dream Girl Disaster, directly following the first one. The tough looking woman with the mo-hawk pulls the other one up the cliff, there is a grey city skyline and fog in the background.. The other girl notices the music playing (represented by musical notations weaving through the whole page). She then suddenly jolts awake at her desk, drooling, in front of her piano, realizing she was dreaming.

Third preview page from Dream Girl Disaster. This is from a scene where the characters meet at a club at night. Jo, the main character, just arrived and as she meets Susie (the girl with long hair, skirt and glasses), she asks her if Helen is there. Susie tells her of course she is, she is getting them hot dogs.
Helen (the tough looking woman from the previous pages, sporting the white mo-hawk and a black, open back dress this time) is just receiving said hot dogs and turns around excitedly, but her mood quickly turns sour when she spots Jo.
Jo is also less then enthusiastic about Helen. Susie stares at the hot dogs.

She did not accept the cheese :( Continuation of my previous "mouse girl offering cheese" sketch, a catgirl (or lynx girl, just ignore the tail length) is trying to make up for the faux pas. (I'm just having a bit of fun sketching these atm)

A woman with cat or lynx like ears and patterns on her skin, with a long tail curling up, standing in the rain. She is wearing a dress that reveals her back. In one hand she is holding a purse, in the other she is holding a see through, dome umbrella over her shoulder. She is looking back at the audience, saying in a speech bubble "I wasn't lying, I'm really lactose intolerant, that's why I didn't want your cheese. So stop sulking and come under my umbrella before you catch your death!"

Oh hey, it's my birthday! 🥳🎉 Help me buy a coffin by preordering my new book from @topshelfcomix.bsky.social , Dream Girl Disaster, or any of my previous books. Links in bio/publisher/my website. Also, why not leave a nice review somewhere if you read any of them?

The cover of the upcoming graphic novel, Dream Girl Disaster, with a little cartoon of the author pasted in front of it, asking if you'd consider pre-ordering the book on occasion of the author's birthday being today.

An image of the covers of the author's 4 books in a pile (Doughnuts and Doom, Wolfpitch, A bite of Pepper, Dream Girl Disaster) , with the same cartoon of the author as on the previous image pasted in front of it, this time prompting you to check out his other books and maybe leaving a review for them on a platform of your choice, like Amazon or Goodreads.

POV: you went on a date with a mouse girl. Do you accept her offering? 🐭🪤

A mouse girl (as in a woman with mouse ears, nose and a tail) is sitting at a bar, wearing a dress and big, round glasses. She is pulling a large chunk of cheese out of her purse, while looking at someone out of frame, saying "Managed to sneak a bit of cheese in. You want some?" Meanwhile she is trying to grab her drink from the bar with her tail, but spilling it in the process.

A jenky little self portrait I was sketching as I was pondering existence and things relating to my impending 40th birthday (which I am very enthusiastic about, as you can tell).

a self portrait where I say in a speech bubble "As I'm about to turn 40, I came to realize that I'm a superstitious man, who thinks the universe will punish him for the mildest transgressions, while others get away with destroying the world". The caption box below reads "He mused as he browsed for a new bass guitar he didn't need, while trying to make his next graphic novel"

Happy 1 year book anniversary to my 3rd full length graphic novel: A BITE OF PEPPER! "A skateboarding vampire falls for a human artist as they combine their talents to create a skating brand in this lightly paranormal coming-of-age young adult graphic novel romance " Links on my website/in my bio

Picture of a pile of books, all of the are the graphic novel "A bite of Pepper". Description of the cover will be provided on a different picture

picture of a stack of books, all of the are paperback and hardcover copies of A bite of Pepper, with one of them propped up next to the pile with the cover facing the audience.

The cover for the graphic novel "A bite of Pepper". The two main characters are on a rooftop with a street lamp in the foreground with some moths around it. The main character, Pepper is sitting at the edge of the roof with her bat winged backpack on her back, holding the leash to her vampire dog (a small, white dog with bat wings) flying around and chasing moths. Pepper is turned to the woman behind her, Ana, who is standing with her arms folded. They are both smiling. The title of the book is positioned above them.

A page from the book. On the top small panel the main character Pepper is sighing, her mother's hand is grabbing her shoulder from off panel saying "Stop sighing and go mingle!".
The rest of the page is taken up with a full view of a ballroom with a chandelier hanging from the roof. Pepper's mom is walking down a flight of stairs that has spider-web ornamented railing. Below is a crowd of humans and vampires engaged in conversation in various groups. Pepper is standing on top of the stairs staring after her mother, with the sign "Fangs and wings ball" hang above her on the ornamented windows.

Since they finally announced the new Skip and Loafer season and there is even a trailer, might as well repost this quick and messy sketch I did when the first season was airing.

a photo of a drawing about the 2 main characters from the anime Skip and Loafer. They are portrayed from the waist up, standing with their back slightly turned from each other. The girl is holding a bubble tea and she is blushing, the boy is holding a cup of steaming coffee, smiling and looking at the girl.
There are pens and a pencil scattered around the drawing.

Had a bit of time, so decided to grab my physical art supplies and flex some of those rusty drawing muscles where I can't use my beloved CTR+ Z. 😵‍💫 This is a glimpse of an idea I had for a story that will probably🤔 never happen, but if it did, I'd call it Bad Habits May Result.

A grey scale pen and paper illustration about a crowd gathering somewhere outside a house, people are drinking and chatting. It seems to be summer time. In the center there is a dark haired woman, wearing a white tank top, shorts and flip flops, who is kind of flirting with the tomboy sitting next to her, wearing a t-shirt, shorts and a backwards baseball cap. The other girl is sweating profusely, holding a large drink cup, with a skateboard next to her.
The dark haired woman's speech balloon says: "I like to talk to you because you are like a guy, but not a guy, so you don't want to..."
The tomboy's thought balloon says: "404 error page not found on server..."

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...the first time I drew Superman? 🤔 That can't be right. TBF as much as I like the character I don't usually have an excuse to draw him, but it's weird that I did at least 2 Supergirl sketches before even attempting the big blue boyscout.
