the songs i had on repeat for this one were 'Downtime' by Aaradhna, 'Touch' by KATSEYE, and 'Pauwi Na 'Ko (Dito Ka Na Lang)' by dwta, which inspired the captions!!

Baki 🐸 @bakibakibro.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

i also almost forgot that there were hollows on the moon oops. and drawing lighter without his scarf felt so wrong, he feels kinda naked, wise i hope u kno u are so loved,,, also remember how i said during day 2 that i never wanted to draw a room again? yeah. i don’t either LMAO

Baki 🐸 @bakibakibro.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

i LOVEDDD the colours for the 2.1 and the 2.2 story quest art, so I tried using the colours from those for this piece!! I also am still fond of touch by katseye, hence the moon in the middle

Baki 🐸 @bakibakibro.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

extra notes!! maybe theres an easier way to do it, but the longest part about this piece was erasing all the extra negative space around the texts,,, like is there a transparent export or something damn

Baki 🐸 @bakibakibro.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

unfortunately what I did NOT get to depict is wise's indignance at lighter being far too considerate and letting him sleep for a concerning amount of hours straight while they hang out, that and wise trying desperately not to laugh when belle brings up lighter's 'proxy doctor' thing

there's a reference to this piece from last year in the fic, with other references to lighter's trust events throughout the fic as well!! bsky.app/profile/baki...

i was SO tempted to write a snippet where lighter goes off to fight some nebulous battle with a faraway kingdom and go missing in action, and the last thing wise has of lighter is a letter that simply says "farewell, my love, and farewell to all who know me" so like. Yeah.

Baki 🐸 @bakibakibro.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

some of the symbols in the banner are inspired by symbols from paintings that depict the myth of phaethon! And all the runes that wise is casting onto lighters armour is vaguely inspired by pyrois' gold markings, call it wise's way of staking his claim
