bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 19/09/2025Best Yakuza Kiwami last week, and I don’t really have a whole lot to say about it. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 02/05/2025Yeah it had the guardian system which I think was a one time payment of $20 that had a lot of content behind it, but also had like a rotating item shop that was like rng based with real money lol 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 02/05/2025From like a design standpoint yes, it’s incredibly poorly designed but man was it fun. But for example the game doesn’t track quest progress at all, u can literally pull up the list of the main story quests and skip to quest 72 without completing anything before it. 110

bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025I will someday have to play Dark Souls 2 so I can give my complete thoughts on the franchise and its direction but overall it just felt like they learned so much of what plagued Dark Souls 1 for a smoother experience. 000
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025I chose to leave Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree out of the discussion as it’s MUCH larger than any of the other DLC’s. 100
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025DS1’s DLC Artorias of the Abyss I find to be the best when you compare it to what the base game had to offer. A measured improvement across the board, and DS3 DLCs just felt like more content outside of their respective boss highlights instead of an opportunity to improve on the game. 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Both of the DLC’s were a bit of a mixed bag for me. Ariandel was very short, with one boss that felt way too simple and the other being one of my favorite bosses of the Soulsborne games period. Ringed city was a lot more content but had very annoying enemies and boss roster was meh aside from Gael. 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025I’d say my top 5 bosses were: Sister Friede, Soul of Cinder, Pontiff Sulyvhan, Nameless King, and Dancer of the Boreal Valley. All of them were appropriately difficult, fair and rewarding fights to learn from my personal experience. 100
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Dark Souls 3 had many “multi-enemy bosses” and by far they had the best execution. Funnily enough multi-bosses consisted of some of the worst fights of ER(Godskin Duo) and DS1 (Ornstein and Smough), and conversely some of my favorites of DS3 (Abyss Watchers, Friede (phase 2), The Twin Princes). 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025I don’t necessarily think giving the player options is a bad thing but I personally stress too much about doing a harder boss before another because it’s not the “ideal experience”. Nothing worse than fighting a good boss while over leveled and not getting to enjoy it. 100
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Cathedral of the Deep and Irithyll were my favorite levels, and the only one I truly hated was Irithyll Dungeon. I felt this game did a very good job of using shortcuts for progression and I enjoyed its linearity. Dark Souls 1 I oftentimes found myself having to lookup what the best order was 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Comparative to Dark Souls and Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3 had my least favorite early game. High Wall Lothric being ok but Undead Settlement and Road of Sacrifices just not being fun at all. This turned around at Cathedral of the deep and there were very few misses as far as level design going forward 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 09/04/2025Dark Souls 3 (and both DLC) finished today marking a close to my third soulsborne entry. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 16/02/2025The ending was bleak but fitting for the game and I am looking forward to the proposed true ending of the game that the devs are working on where you can save the other Mita’s and break the cycle of players getting caught in the game. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 16/02/2025As for the horror bits, some might find jump scares to be cheap but I found them to be well placed. There were a few parts of the game that I felt the horror atmosphere was great and some that were a bit lazy. The infinite hallway inspired by PT was great, progressively getting more offputting.media.tenor.coma picture of a girl next to a sign that says 41 kilometers near youALT: a picture of a girl next to a sign that says 41 kilometers near you 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 16/02/2025Kind Mita having the largest supporting role as she tries to assist you as you traverse through the versions and get to the core of the game. Crazy Mita being more of a classic horror villain but with enough personality to really flesh it out. Shoutout Cool Mita and Sleepy Mita too.media.tenor.coma picture of a girl with the words " court is adjourned for naptime " on the bottomALT: a picture of a girl with the words " court is adjourned for naptime " on the bottom 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 16/02/2025This is where I felt the developers displayed the most creativity in creating multiple versions of the main environment of the story (a 1 bedroom apartment with only 4 rooms), and multiple versions of the main girl Mita. My obvious highlights being the two with the most screentime. 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 16/02/2025While it follows a familiar trope, cutesy-styled anime girl game but horror, it manages to create a compelling story where you have to travel backwards through the versions of the game to get back to the real world.media.tenor.coma girl is standing in front of a blackboard with circles and numbers on itALT: a girl is standing in front of a blackboard with circles and numbers on it 110

bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 15/01/2025I’ll stop yapping with this one and to talk briefly about the narrative, it was by far the highlight of the game. I urge anyone who’s made it this far to experience it themselves. And I’m unashamed to say shit whooped my ass, I was crying real man tears at the end of the game. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 15/01/2025The cast of the game was great all around, good villains, supporting cast, and protagonist felt very full of personality. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 14/01/2025Gameplay wise I really enjoyed that each character had 3 unique combat styles with their own skill trees as action adventure “beat em up” can get tired very fast without variety. Only complaint is that the breakdancing combat style was too fun and OP on Majima so it’s all I used. 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 14/01/2025Majima’s found him running a cabaret club with the gameplay loop being similar to Diner Dash/restaurant manager flash games that had you frantically try to match customer orders and manage a diner. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 14/01/2025Kiryu’s real estate manager and Majima’s cabaret manager were both very reminiscent of popular flash game styles. Kiryu’s being closer to idle/incremental cookie clicker type games: number go up, invest more, number go up more. bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 14/01/2025The management games is where I found the side content really shined. Both protagonists have their own that follows the same formula of running a business and trying to grow it enough to beat an oligopoly that’s suffocating the industry. I was not expecting to sink hours into this part for fun. 110
bajamiku @bajamiku.bsky.social · 14/01/2025The side stories, mini games, training, and the management games is where it really brings out the goofy side of the games that I was more familiar with.
