A lot of them were coached into Facebook and Instagram pages in the first place only to see their engagement and ad spend effectiveness fall over a cliff. Then when they look at websites they get nickel and dimed by Shopify and the others so they throw up their hands and focus on the food.

They’re slow moving but I think, if anything, this current situation has forced countries like Canada to start the process. We’ve been in our own ‘Biden’s here so everything is okay’ era since the end of the Cold War, Trump is forcing us to deal with reality, they were never a true ally.

That’s the whole thing. My fear is that it involves the economic and social isolation of the US from the rest of the world, give MAGA what it wants and let the dire consequences play out over a few decades. That sort of inflicted suffering is morally unacceptable and I hope there’s some other way
