cw transphobia. allowing myself to be publicly vulnerable.

"In the eyes of god, he made you as a man. You will always be my son."

Out of my two parents, my mom was always the person who encouraged me to be myself. Hell she even figured it out I was trans before I even said anything to her.

She was 49, she had so much of a life left in her and I thought it was going to be me and her against the world for a long time.
My dad doesn't fully understand, but he isn't actively hostile over my trans identity but not having her absolute faith has destroyed a bit of my heart that will never fully come back.

⛧BAHKONEARTH⛧ 🏳️‍⚧️ @bahkonearth.neocities.org · 03/09/2026

who's this new character?

my take on a character who is built like a shortstack, she is a cat girl with reasonably big arms, a narrow torso, a little bit of a belly and wide hips and thighs. she has an anime esque hair cut, markings under her eyes and a determined look on her face.

⛧BAHKONEARTH⛧ 🏳️‍⚧️ @bahkonearth.neocities.org · 24/08/2026

This won't stay up forever but I really want to get my hair looking like how it did in this older picture. If you're wondering I had the Motoko Kusanagi hair cut before I knew what ghost in the shell was.

A real picture of myself, I have the long floppy hair bits to the side and shorter bangs covering my eyes.

Reference for my sona, Volzoth! She is a goat-like fursona wearing a black dress, long reflective arm gloves and boots with red accents on the bottom of the boots. she has horns, a black button nose, two horns with two black lines running across them and a black headband. The three traits on the side read "Goat Thing" "Built like a fridge" "Transgender" (written in flame font generator text)

dedicated hardware

DEDICATED HARDWARE.

This thing is the PlayStation Portable.

It can play Video Games,
Movies, and Music.

It came out in 2004.

This thing is OLD.

What is the point of using an old handheld
in the current age where you can grab
an emulator for your favorite system
and plop it straight onto your iPhone?

People ask this question
about... basically "old" thing.

The point is that
a system like this
isn't just a novelty.

It's a machine
built for everyday use.

I got the PSP I've been using at a store a few years back
for around $70, it came with Monster Hunter Freedom 2.

The price of the new
GTA coming out is
$80...

Not having a lot of money
did really help factor in getting it.

Deep down I feel like people
want to be understood
by someone as completely
as they can.

Sounds unrelated to the PSP story,
but stick with me here.

I feel a special connection with the
things I try to mod out, we're both
potential machines yearning
to be understood.

A modern computer is capable of an insane amount of things,
essentially just able to do anything you put your mind to.

Love my computer, I use it everyday.
I'm using it to draw and write this comic.

But...

There's something special that comes
with breaking the chains off something that
is doing things it shouldn't be able to.

I found out earlier this week that someone
made a plugin to let you connect to
modern Wi-Fi networks.

Isn't that incredible?

People found a way to make a 22 year old
piece of hardware talk back to the current Internet.

It's made a gateway to make
it even easier for a PSP
to do what a PSP does...

I've found myself playing so many
games I never had a chance to play before.
Even getting around to playing
new homebrew games that people
made as labours of love.
This is mostly just my own cheesy fascination with a piece of old technology put onto a page. I feel something special between me and this old thing.
It's inspired me, connected with me,
and empathized with me.

I love my PSP.
