My daughter is just about to start the Manchester half marathon. She’s running for Alzheimers research after my mum was diagnosed this year. She’s only just started running. I couldn’t be more proud of her. She has lost 7 stone and turned her health around. Permission to cry? 😢

My recent diagnosis has shifted my thought process massively on this. When I saw a statistic that said 50% of HF patients die within 5 years, I had a meltdown of epic proportions and have had a real radical rethink on reaching pension age as had always assumed it was a given up to that point….

Just spent half an hour doing a good deed for someone I don’t know that well but I can help out because I know people who can help them. Makes me wonder how people spend their lives so consumed with hate and loathing, it must be bloody exhausting and ultimately unsatisfying or am I the weird one?

I hear you! Starting to understand this more and more with HF and chronic migraines. Outwardly people see me running and working and appearing ‘normal’ but don’t get that the battery can deplete very quickly some days even doing nothing more than the basics of existing

I had shingles when I was as 9 (I know, people never believe it) on my back. The most painful thing ever. I still have scarring. If I can have a vaccine at some point that will help, sign me up
