Nine Goblins By T. Kingfisher Cozy Fantasy | Humor | Published October 2013 A fun little adventure of the titular goblins trying to survive a war that nobody really remembers what it's actually about. Prejudices are bad and so is racism. All in all a quick read with likable characters.

Green, long eared creature, holding a silver shield. You can only see the upper halve of it's head, it's hands and feet.

Japanese Gothic By Kylie Lee Baker Horror | Gothic | Historical Fiction | Fantasy Published April 2026 Guess I liked it? I had to re-listen to some chapters several times because they got so unhinged I thought I skipped one. Tried to retell the story to my coworker today and got us both confused.

Eat the ones you love By Sarah Maria Griffin Horror | LGBT | Thriller Published April 2025 Little shop of horrors but with sapphics. At times I doubted the MCs survival instincts, but I guess that's classic horror BD

A Venus fly trap with orchid petals and human eyes (one blue, one brown).

Inkpot Gods by Deanan McGuire Urban Fantasy | Science Fiction | LGBT Published June 2026. This is part 4 of the alchemical journey series, a story about megalomaniac alchemists, gods and abstract natural concepts becoming nerdy flesh. I enjoy the series a lot, get's hella gory now and then.

An inc bottle with a peacock feather stuck inside. A thin ring of fire is surrounding the green and blue bottle, the rest of the cover is a black void.

The Haunting of Ashburn House by Darcy Coates Horror | Supernatural Released February 2017 An heiress of an onviously haunted house who is very self aware and actively tries to avoid making stupid horror movie mistakes. The true horror is impending homelessness, I guess.

Black and blue tinted cover depicting a typical two story country home.
From a window in the second floor shines a bringt light.
Dead looking trees frame the building, a fullmoon is rising above the roof.

Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher Horror | Mysterie Released March 2026 A little disgusting tale about botflies and their cousins and how to paint them. Enjoed it a lot. Spoiler: If you ever wondered what would happen if some parasitic Insects took a vampire as their host, this is the book for you.

Wolf Worm is written in all white caps, a flower is winding between the letters. In the bottom, you can see the red roots, winding upwards. The brown stems end in coral colored lillies (I think. I'm so bad with plants, Im sorry). Across the stems, the life cycle of an insect is depicted from it's egg to it's larval state to it's adult form.

The Nigjtmare Man by J.H. Markert Horror | Thriller Released January 2023 Story about a book author whose horror stories, which are based on his nightmares, seem to come alive. The story makes many annoying time jumps, especially in the last third. I often lost the plot because of that.

A corn field, red sky in the background. Im the front we can see the upper falf of a scare crow, reaching out to the viewer.

The Ravenswood Witch: Discover the Spellbinding Historical Story of Witches and Womanhoo By Jenni Keer Released September 2024 Mysterie / Supernatural / Romane??? I liked it. It's kinda hard to pinpoint the genre and the characters all seem a tiny bit insane, but it had an entertaining plot.

A raven is flying above her im the right upper corner. White and golden flowers sprout in from outside the frame.

Through Gates of Garnet and Gold by Seanan McGuire Released January 2026 Fantasy Book 11 of the 'Wayward Children" series I feel that, if had had been able to read this series as a teenager, it would have healed some substential part of me so much sooner.
