In 1981 Tom Waits did the voiceover for a commercial for Purina Butcher’s Blend Dog Food. In his book Lowside of the Road: A Life of Tom Waits, Barney Hoskyns quotes Waits as saying, “I was down on my luck. And I’ve always liked dogs.”

The Susan Anton Pizza Hut commercial (1985) is famous primarily because it was banned and never actually aired on television. Pizza Hut executives pulled the pitch because they felt the way she chewed and interacted with the food was "too erotic" and sensual for television.

“Love” Swiss Mixed Cereal was a unique breakfast cereal introduced in 1970 that featured the vibrant, psychedelic packaging of the famous pop artist Peter Max. To complete the "far-out breakfast" experience, consumers could also buy a matching Peter Max "Love" cereal bowl.
