I am generally supportive of existing allegations against Gaiman on two points: 1. The allegations are reasonably credible and align with my own perceptions of the author's relationship to women in his literary work. Gaiman treats women as devices that advance male characters' goals.

The Sandman largely wrapped in 1996 and American Gods came out in 2001. My observations about Gaiman, based on how he writes the suffering, rape, and death of women, sex workers, and, specifically Black women, were made many years before allegations about Gaiman were made.
