Yeah, that "benefits outweigh the costs" concept is not something that is in the DOGE clown-college curriculum.

When I was a kid I wanted one of these so bad... No reason, it just looked cool.

Thanks for jogging my memory. I did not know there was a 3 movie Criterion blu-ray set. Ordered that today. If you've never seen Karel Zeman's work, you should; it's amazing. 1st saw INVENTION FOR DESTRUCTION on TV in the '60s. Stuck with me ever since. Looking forward to two more soon. #KarelZeman

I still haven't been able to extract that bloody 1 minute track. What I did find out is how to launch VLC player from the command line and play title 6, chapter 2 for 59 seconds continuously. Finally.

Had quite a good time at San Diego Youtopia last week. Feeding the projector from macbook for the 1st time went well (except when I got careless). My one regret is "Santo Vs the Vampire Women". 1st INTERMINABLE wrestling scene was excruciating. Forgot how tedious the non-MST3k version was.

Successful test of new projection set up involving a decade+ old MacBook Pro, SVGA adapter, 50+ ft of SVGA cable, I guess around 75 ft of stereo audio cable (haven't measured it), and the same old crappy projector & PA. No video problems, no ground loop crap.
