Here's the EE17, it was non functioning. I had to clean, fix and re-grease it all. Worst part was the batteries had been left (for decades?) was a pain to get them out. I've got some more jobs to do in the winter so I've covered the front with washi tape. #canon #ee17 #camerarepair #35mm

Battery cover had to have additional holes drilled, and then round nosed pliers used like a spanner to open after a soak in vinegar and WD40. I don't know how long they'd been in there but they'd destroyed the light meter wiring. Someone had done their best to destroy the bottom with a screw driver, trying to get it open. arrghh.

I bought a broken #CanonEE17 for very little because there wasn't much to lose & I might just be able to save it from the bin. After evenings spent fixing & putting back together the little guy (meter & lens polish to-do). Test roll cinefilm was a bad idea. Lower iso next. #filmphotography #35mm
