I feel like I’m getting better at actually playing games as far as committing to them. I still don’t beat them but instead of quitting after a few minutes, I actually play them a good amount. Little accomplishments. 🫶🏻

I just feel like at this point in my life, I’m purely existing. I don't really have a grand purpose or long-term goals right now, just taking things one day at a time and surviving. Some might see that as pessimistic, and maybe it is.

Idk if this is a healthy mindset to have that I’ve developed in my journey, but I just feel like my purpose in life is just to help others reach their goals and potential. & I’m not talking about extravagant things, but just being the better versions of themselves that they preach to wanna be.

I love the nonsense dynamic that Palworld has with its difficulty levels. Instead of getting more XP and other additions, you literally just suffer more. (The exception of getting 7 hairstyles from each boss.)

One thing I’m learning about in therapy is recognizing the cycles of repeated behavior and when to find the opportunity to discontinue them when I start spiraling. It’s now made me aware of other’s cycles. Unfortunately though, we cannot help those who don’t wish to help themselves.

I feel like I’ve made strides though! I’ve substituted reading with audio books so I can let myself get distracted while still listening. I also allow myself periodic breaks to step away and then come back to my gaming which has helped me last a bit longer. So… baby steps!

It dawned on me the other day that I haven’t had the feeling I used to get a lot about ‘not belonging’ for some time now. I think a lot to do with it is growth and maturity. I don’t chase for trying to belong anywhere anymore. I just choose to live day by day and be myself. It’s so freeing.
