Completed phase 1 of a bathroom instead of consuming inauguration coverage the last 2 days. There was demo, painting, flooring and a new toilet install, but it also involved zero nazi salutes, so it feels like the better choice.

Highly important bun update: the second batch of burger buns is done and actually came out looking like buns. Now I am mentally prepared to watch the Lions game.

Gone are the deformed buns from earlier today. These are round, golden brown, perfect buns and we love them.

So, I’m attempting to make hamburger buns today. Attempt 1 was a recipe that didn’t have a second rise period and I thought it was weird but went with it? The outcome was these unfortunate looking monsters. A new batch with a new recipe that includes two rise periods is underway
