Some very cool quantum biotechnology projects here including one working with me on running quantum molecular dynamics calculations on real quantum computers The program runs for 4 weeks from Jan to Feb 2027 and is open to domestic undergrad students in their second to final year of study.

Last week I had the great pleasure to be part of the National Quantum and Dark Matter Road Trip, organised by the ARC Centre of Excellence for Dark Matter Particle Physics and @arcqubic.bsky.social
Most of the road trippers standing in front of the Queen Victoria Museum in Launceston.Friday night, science themed pub trivia. We had to sit on the floor of the stage because the place was so packed!Me describing the double slit interference experiment using an online graphic. The road trippers assigned to car 2 posing in front of the car.

Happy to share that this work from my PhD is now published: link.aps.org/doi/10.1103/... This is a more complete version of the arxiv version (which is itself a longer version of a thesis chapter)

Cyclone: Designing Efficient and Highly Parallel QCCD Architectural Codesigns for Fault Tolerant Quantum Memory
Modular trapped-ion quantum computing hardware, known as QCCDs require shuttling operations in order to maintain effective all-to-all connectivity. Each module or trap can perform only one operation a...
