I'm reading through Blackshirts and Reds for the first time by Michael Parenti (THE GOAT), 60 pages in and hooooo boy, it gives the most scalding criticism of the Western "left" that needs to be internalized and heard, and a good elementary view on where existing socialism is today. A must read!

The problem is Israel. Netanyahu is just a symptom of that genocidal apartheid state, the same way that Trump is a symptom of the fascism at the heart of US capitalism. So many people are deliberately trying to mislead people to symptoms, so that they can avoid tackling the real issue.
