Bacardi grew its revenue in Russia by 70% and is set to mass-produce Dewar’s Scotch whisky in the country, according to @thetimes.com. The Scottish Gov said: ”We are using all available powers to prevent trade and investment activity with Russia and would expect this private company to do likewise.”

We thank every member of Congress who supported the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia & Iran Act. It could prove historic—but only if President Trump signs it swiftly and it is enforced without waivers or loopholes. Time to demonstrate the strength needed to bring Moscow to the negotiating table.

At the 35th Economic Forum in Karpacz, B4Ukraine’s Nezir Sinani stressed: Ukraine needs investment, but reconstruction must not become a reputational washing machine for companies still doing substantial biz in Russia. Investment is not absolution. Many firms owe reparations for staying in Russia.

⁉️ In July 2026, the 5 largest EU buyers of Russian fossil fuels paid Russia a combined €1.3B. According to @creacleanair.bsky.social, Hungary was the EU’s top buyer, followed by Slovakia, Belgium and France. In fact, Belgium sourced 100% of its LNG imports from Russia in July. It is deeply shameful.

The EU's 21st #sanctions package is a step forward, but a major loophole remains. Greece secured an exemption allowing its shipping industry to continue transporting Russian #LNG under pre-2022 contracts, extending shipments beyond the EU's 2027 deadline.
