" It counts more than whatever section 3 thought of me. " She said with a light shrug. " To be painfully honest though I feel like a charity case for you. Just some spooky burnt half to shit missing an arm and a leg barely being held together by duct tape and spite. "

" If Im so special I wouldnt have gotten half of my face melted off. "

000

" Oh hush. We've had this talk a thousand times already, I'm no more special than anyone. I was just pulled because they saw fit that I die on a different mission instead of TORPEDO. " She looked to her prosthetic. The memory of how she got it, as well as the horrible scars.

Plus il y a d'espace entre toi et moi et moins je respire

" It sounds so simple. The way you operate. Point and shoot. Bad guys on a mountain, get rid of the mountain. So straight forward. " She let out a sigh like a dog that was settling down for a nap. " What I wouldnt give for straight forward sometimes. "

000

" No, ive given up trying to break your snooping habits amour. Now Im just bragging. " She kissed Silvias shoulder once and rested her chin on it. " And besides, average engagement distance doesnt matter when you just call down a strike to level a mountain range. "

So the woman under the hood was basically a stranger, and Sarah has done much, much worse to strangers. " ... Well it's about time you admit it. "

Try as she might, she cant be mad at Silvia, especially for this. Black ink missions were what she did. Working for ONI makes you get real used to not knowing anything. Besides, she lived her whole life without a mother. She didn't remember anything about her.

The questions weren't for Silvia per say... she just felt the need to voice them.

Her first instinct was to argue. But how could she when she knew Silvia was right. But still, part of her was just angry and desperate for some place to aim that anger, unfair as it was. " I- ... then why did I have to take the shot? Why was I even sent on the mission? "

100

She huffed into the crook of Silvias neck. " I still dont speak Arabic. " She said with a sigh. " I got the beautiful part though. Thanks Amour. "

// Someone should hold me at gunpoint and force me to be active again

" Don't give me that shit Silvia. I know for a fact you knew who was under that hood before I took the shot. I just want to know why you didnt tell me. "

The Commander was a storm cloud rolling through the halls of the Infinity, armed and armored with her helmet locked to her hip. But... what else was new. Whenever she made a public appearance these days she seemed to be in a shit mood.

000

" I know I know. Im just... tired is all. And missing you. " She turned around in Silvias arms and snaked her arms around the Gammas hips.
