i just spent the last hour aligning these read* calls to figure out what each byte in a message means against the pretty printing code (so i could see what structure member got read + with its name)

there is a `stur w1, [x0, OFFSET]` instructions following each call to the read function, which gives me the offset. I looked the offsets up in a separate file (some pretty printing code for the class, where the names come from)

to the side is my notes file marking what i know.

i found a function that just contains motivational statements, so guess i'm motivated now?

random motivational statements inside some screwy arm64 asm, that creates a map<string, blah> structure:

hell yeah running github.com/hzeller/rpi-... , had to reflash the pi but my nearly decade old .bash_history was pretty handy i forgot how slow pi zeros were, compile times were looong. now to figure out what to do with this.

i'm also quite proud of the diagrams! made them in monodraw at the park. (good software if you need to make text diagrams) workflow was to make the article template in it, then export to a txt so I could edit it vim with line limits set. i over did my structure a bit!

Took a lot of work but I'm able to extract a graph representing all the tracepoints (function-graph) that could occur in a function in the linux kernel, and how they flow between each other. so if I do a bit more work I should be able to tell if a trace is from an unmodified kernel.

Vertices labeled with symbols that can appear in traces of `alloc_uid`, double circle if thats where the function can return.

Went to Mount Bromo today

Was really good! Hike wasn't that bad at all, though going into the crator was a bit dodge would recommend if you are in this part of the world.

The oecsussi-dili ferry is pretty brutal. 13-14 hours, 2 stuck in port waiting to leave. Gotta fight for space, i ended up staying outside for most of it above some livestock also a random flying fish attacked me...

Got to vang viang today and damn as soon as i got off the train you get this stunning view of air balloons over the nearby mountains. was not expecting that for a place with this reputation (tho its cleaned up apparently in the last decade)
