Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 21/09/2026Been kinda quiet about it but I took a part time job at my local fly shop. Got a chance to do some team building with the guides a week ago and it was said the shop guy knows how to fish. Still can't hold a fish well for photos though... 090
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 05/09/2026Many people might pass up water like this but I can assure you there are really pretty fish you can get up close and personal with, tossing big dry flies. Had a day this past week reminding me how lucky I am to live close to these waters. 160
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/08/2026Fly fishing in my yard for a big land cat with a foam hopper is so much fun (no hook ofc). She's super picky so I have to hit it right in the zone, including off the lilacs and tall grass. So much more fun than casting rings. Practicing my roll cast and short fast double hauls. #flyFishing 141
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 27/08/2026Foam season has been on fire for me. Had to restock my box. GFA and Clod hoppers with a few no name hoppers. #flyFishing #flyTying 371
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 01/08/2026Had this Bee balm wild flower pop up last year but wasn't part of the wild flower seeds we planted a year before. Musta seeded well cause this year we have quite a few and I love them. Late blooming and it's popping off right now. 000

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 26/07/2026So I was talking with someone today that told me the rock on the right isn't porphyritic basalt with epidote. Does anyone have some insight? #rockHounding 130
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 10/07/2026Throwback Thursday - Out of the dozen or so websites I have designed and develop from scratch, one I made back in '08 for @kcsufm.bsky.social has still been one of my favorites. Designed in PS, two column table layout, flash audio player, with a WordPress blog RSS parsed for the homepage news. 010

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 23/02/2026Can I just say @chriscoyier.net there is something truly diabolical in promoting the use of RSS while also "breaking" readers with no titles in some of your posts. I tip my hat to you sir, well played. References/mentions a great article about how and why to RSS> chriscoyier.net/2025/10/24/1... 200
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 25/08/2025Yea I've been through lots of different ones including Logitech and always a fan of thumb vs finger ones. Picture of my current one and I really like it, been using it for a few years now. 110

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 12/12/2024Thow back Thursday: Fly fishing and hiking with my daughter and wife in the mountains. Loved just tossing her in a backpack and hiking to the lake on a whim. We did this often, but this is one my favorite memories, was just an awesome day and had the place to ourselves. Simpler times. #flyfishing 1170
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 12/12/2024When I picked this up at first, I was thinking it was banded chert but after further inspection I noticed it lets light through. Agate? Pretty neat piece for this beginner. Going to be getting more pictures of my favorite finds this year. Natures art and I'm enjoying it! #rockhounding #rockhound 060
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 12/12/2024New hoodie! Happy to be a Front-end Friend along with @kevinpowell.co and if you didn't know I really REALLY like CSS Grid. Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 12/12/2024I love catching these creatures and putting them right back to go be predators of their rivers. Battle scars are not uncommon. #FlyFishing #AltText 0120

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 04/12/2024One thing I've not been able to do is "tent" my split keyboard. Need to try the octo pads that came with my Keyboardio M100 again but felt they raised it to high from desk. My original intent was to use angled arms for a camera and bring them closer to my chair or just attach them like this person. 140

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 21/11/2024Here is a replica of a Kirby's Forgotten Land level intro I made using @gsap.com stagger and SVG. Had a lot of fun making this, should do another soon. 2153
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 21/11/2024Throwback Thursday. Winter is here and reminded me of when I was freezing my butt off to fish the famous DePuy Spring Creek in 14f degree weather. #flyfishing 180

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 11/11/2024Using a Split Keyboard? Quote post yours with pros and cons. Keyboardio m100 is my daily driver. Pros - Palm keys, thumb row keys, full lighting control, good firmware/software. Cons - Custom Sculpted keycaps (kind of a pro too?), wood base takes up more height/width than most others. 350

Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024Fully loaded page behind the gate too, so when user does have JS they get smooth animation and a page that is ready to use. This also seems to work well with search bots and SEO being it can parse the full page still. 020
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024Not long ago I built a landing page for a client, and I had debated not using a framework. Then it hit me that they needed an Age Gate before entering the page. Perfect use case for SvelteKit form actions so I can animate it out and have a fallback that works without JS. svelte.dev/docs/kit/for... 120
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024This past summer and fall I also found an addicting hobby to add to my love of spending time on the river. Rockhounding! 160
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024Cat dad too. We have a loving but adventurous cat aptly named Yuki Ko! She thinks she can take on any dog and loves to chase them out of our yard. Has to compete with lots of other wild life but wouldn't have it any other way. She loves to get on my shoulders and chill. 000
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024Also married with two wonderful children, I don't talk much about them on socials but definitely one the hardest jobs I've had in life but also one the most rewarding. We finally got out camping last summer and no screens, and it was a struggle but great. 000
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 31/10/2024More about me 🧵 (not sure how to do this right lol) You might also notice I enjoy Fly Fishing and tying my own flies. Getting out on the river is my church and I need to attend more. 360
Brent Morton @b.1mind.dev · 27/10/2024Had some of the best dry fly fishing this fall. I also enjoyed tying again which is in away what got me into fly fishing in the first place. Getting back into web development and being at the PC so much I had stopped doing many of my outdoor hobbies, trying to change that. 1131
