11. Ethnicities I hc floyd (+jade) to be chinese, ace as filipino(he’s a part of floeri by association), and eri is cambodian (recent assignment)! I’ve made attempts at drawing them more realistically but im not currently satisfied with any of them😭 this is probably the closest drawing to it

9. This I hc Floyd as nonbinary in the sense that gender doesn’t even cross his mind. Eri is simply just nonbinary, no other reason. Different from Floyd though, they use they/he/she pronouns but I will often opt into using they when Eri is in the same sentences as other characters.

8. They’re addicted to breaking up Floyd is often frustrated with Eri’s reluctance to admit their live for him while Eri always feels mistreated as a result of Floyd’s volatile nature. The two fire terrible words at each other, but get together when they remember no one else gets them like they do.

7. Floyd has no nickname for Eri I wish I could say it’s an intentional choice, but I just personally couldn’t come up with one😭 Koebi-chan to me is specifically for Yuu, which Eri is not. But it’s too late now and it’s kind of stuck with me…

6. Eri attends Floyd’s games Floyd and Ace, both bring close to Eri and also in the basketball club together incentivizes Eri to attend their games if not for one of them then both of them.

At basketball practice, Jamil notices Eri on the bleachers and asks Ace who they are.

Text reads:

Jamil: Ace, who is that person who always comes at the end of our practices and why do they look so…

Jamil: conflicted?

Ace waves at Eri from the court, and they wave back.

Ace: Oh, that’s Eri!

4. Not fond of formal events Growing up, Floyd attended many formal events and for a while thought it was the only kind of party that existed. He gets bored easily to begin with, and these formal events are no exception to that. Eri also doesn’t care for opulence, and doesn’t really understand it

Floyd and Eri in more formal attire hold hands at some kind of formal event. Floyd wears a 3 piece suit with an unbuttoned shirt, and Eri wears a long maxi dress accessorized with tall gloves, necklaces, and a feather boa.

3. Teeth Moray eels, like sharks, have multiple sets of teeth that fall out and regrow constantly. Pharyngeal jaws however are unique to that of moray eels. Floyd sometimes gives Eri those teeth as a gift, and they’re infatuated enough with him to consider it an endearing gesture.

2. Bounded by “fate” Eri’s special magic, “Prick of the Spindle” puts the cursed victim in an indefinite coma that can only be awoken by true love’s kiss. Because of the severity of the magic, it is seldom used hence a rapid overblot. Floyd is victim to this magic, but is later awoken by Eri…

Eri’s overblot design features a broken spindle wheel as a headdress, a torn black and red dress, a broken crinoline skirt, and tall, black boots. There is a repetitive motif of red thread, symbolic of the red string of fate that relates to the effects of their special magic.

Scene in which Floyd lays on the infirmary bed in a coma with Eri and Ace standing besides him, Eri bending down closer to his level while Ace leans back on the windowsill.

For context:
I imagined an event story in which Eri’s overblot inconveniences pretty much everyone associated with Floyd. He can’t show up to class, work, or clubs, and his absence concerns many.

As a result, people try to wake him up from this coma by seeing if they are his “true love”, but he does not wake up.

It’s only until Eri tries that he eventually does, but he doesn’t realize Eri is the reason for him waking up. He thought it was a really good nap. It’s important to note that Eri has never been someone’s “true love”, and that this is the first time they were able to reverse their own magic.

The text reads:

Ace: Come onnn at least TRY to kiss him! I did it…

Eri: Um. Ew— I didn’t need to know that— also, I didn’t say I wasn’t going to!!

Ace: Whatever dude, just get it over with already.

Eri: Could you like… Turn around or something? You’re making this hard for me.

Ace: Sure, sure… Haha, gross.

Eri: You’re gross!!!

1. Both neurodivergent I haven’t really figured out the specifics of it, but it’s true!!!! They both have adhd for sure, though I’ve also entertained the idea of Floyd being autistic as well 🤍 their neurodivergence affects them in diff ways, causing them to fight often if not getting along well.

found out there’s an eel on my campus?? its a brazilian dragon moray eel and its 16 years old :-) similar to floyd… so naturally they had to become friends
