Saw that the @basketunderreview.bsky.social pac-12 preview had both Latrell Davis and Bear Cherry as second team all conference players. Davis I was expecting. And I really like Cherry, but even i didn’t have him that high.

Both times SDSU plays Gonzaga are on 1 day prep. Idk how much getting kore prep might sway the odds one way or the other, but 1 day prep both times feels wrong.

I cannot emphasize enough how much of a bummer Nick Andersons injury is. Other than that, @evanmiya.bsky.social algo is higher in chance Gladden than I am, and much lower on Cherry, Davis, and Torresani. Still very nice to have numbers coming out though.

I hate to be a downer, but I’m a little disappointed so far. The players era is always great. BYU on a neutral is great, and Colorado on a neutral is solid. I like that they added UNLV, but it’s not a resume builder. They need another 1 or 2 big games to complete the schedule.

Losing Nick Anderson is a major blow to the team. He was my favorite pickup so far this offseason. We’ll see who they bring in to replace him, but no matter what the team would’ve been better with him.

There’s always a need. You’re either playing catch up, or trying to put distance between 1st and 2nd place. That’s why they felt a need to raise prices after getting a huge bump in conference distribution. “We already have enough” isn’t a phrase in athletic departments.

Plus, you’d be hard pressed to find evidence that if there was a $20 million NIL donation, the ticket prices wouldn’t have still been raised. I believe they would have.

But if that’s the case then there is zero reason to donate to NIL. There’s no benefit to it because they’re getting the money one way or the other. So putting any blame on fans for not donating in pointless.

Idk. I doubt that’s how it would’ve worked. I think Prices would’ve been raised regardless. But even if I’m wrong, this amounts to “if you gave $100 before you wouldn’t have to now.” And in this economy that’s a bold thing to say.

Feeling really good about the guard spots with Torresnai in the mix. The bigs should be solid once the other European comes in. The wings are a little weak though. Scoric is a solid start, but right now it looks like Anderson will be playing up a lot.

There are supposedly 2 players who have agreed in principle to play for SDSU next season, but since they are still under contract professionally they can’t officially commit yet.
