Uugh, jag needs a mechanic. I think trying to diagnose the weird carbs it runs has hit a point outside of my current experience. Running super rich if it runs at all. I'm assuming diafram rupture but I found a fantastic local person who can do a full checkup for me. Too bad they have 3wk que.

Random ass neighborhood dog just ended up in my truck over the weekend and refused to get out. We were unloading equipment for the video shoot and he just jumped right in. Took putting gently poking him with a tripod at a distance to encourage him out. He was not friendly to touch so we kept back.

Fixing a 4Kconference camera from ebay tonight that I basically got for 8% of actual value. Expensive conference room PTZ camera that someone broke the pivot axis glide by twisting the camera head past limit. Nothing a little glue cannot fix. Gonna use to steam friends DnD games in the arcade.

I got access to the jungle sites Vine program and these cable companies were not expecting my willingingness to cut shit open for science. Found them sneaking copper clad aluminum into IEC cords which is meh for the 10A spec at 1mm^2. At least the stated conductor cross section matches spec.

Well, I think that was why the Adam's Family Pinball machine was crashing. That's the 50V fuse and it was pretty crusty. Cleaned it and burnished the fuse holder. Seems stable now. We shall see if it crashes/reboots on people going forward. #pinball #arcade #retrogaming

The "Living room" corner of the arcade has a big purple carpet now (gym mats under for extra plush)! Plus, some vintage wood grain tower speakers that will soon be hooked to the right TV. I'm so excited for when I can host gaming nights! 😍

Well, since I'm back into a nostalgia trip of when I was a huge XM Radio geek as a kid, here's another project circa 2006. Installed a receiver on a friend's GoKart and even had the xm411 forum stickers to put on there. Remember, sat radio was the future back then to us. Pretty clean install too.

Blast to the past! We found my old XM Radio Inno at my parents house. Got some parts off ebay and it's running again! Still has all my old MP3s and XM recordings from high school circa 2007. I used to make sure I had south facing seats on planes so I could wedge this into the window shade and get XM

Another rough progress shot on the little arcade project. This is the "Living room" corner. TVs are up now but there might be one more to the left. This will have several soafs/chairs in an L shape around a purple shag carpet in the center of the L. Various game consoles and media sources.

Another TV up in the to be arcade room. This Pioneer Elite plasma is a 2007 and has followed me around since college. Still going strong nearly 20 years later unlike the various modern TVs I've had fail. Absolute tank and weighs like 80lb. It's gonna be used as one of the retro console TVs.

Inherited the main sign from our now defunct burning man camp that my dad designed. Got it de-playaed last night and ready to hang in the arcade. Almost a year ago this was put up for the last time on the Playa and we didn't know it. 😔
