Great article. Unfortunately, there are certain lines that moderates aren't going to cross. Read the DSA platform and it should become obvious. My guess is that "third way" just wants to screw over Democrats. I'd just like the DSA and Dems to split and have the Dems be a centrist party.

I only care about limiting the power of trump. If Dems win the Senate, that will be a success. If Dems end up in a 50-50 Senate and lose Michigan, then we can blame the far left for everything that happens in the following two years. I hope very much that we win the Senate and Michigan.

Many moderates voted for trump because of trans in sports. Add in open borders and lighter sentences for criminals and you may lose me too. That being said, I'm not opposed to trying. Let's find a candidate that is far left, run her, and see how we do. I think we'll get crushed, but hope I'm wrong.

I support a lot of things that already exist in Europe. I support a lot of things Mamdani is doing. The DSA calls for state ownership of corporations and industry. And open borders. And a few members want to abolish the police. I'm not voting for any of that, and I doubt 51% of America is either.

I have never voted Republican in my life. I don't think the people in the middle who sometimes vote R and sometimes vote D are going to vote for a socialist.
