I would argue they are on the cusp of a resurgence, with younger, more progressive and feistier candidates. The older regime won some big, important battles in the past. I understand your point. Kushner should not be involved in any aspects of the Government, but the fact remains he is involved and highly resourced. Ignoring reality doesn’t change it, it perpetuates the problem. Meeting with him does carry risks, I believe less than not meeting with him.

What these grizzled and intrepid reporters fail to understand is the desire for the DSA to change certain aspects of the constitution, not defy it or dismantle it. The constitution provides an avenue for such update and revision. A legally mechanism called the Constitutional Convention exists.

That is an option, but removes a more direct approach of primary voting and reinforces a system of “precinct bosses”. I’d prefer to trust voters rather than ‘turf’ managers. Most minorities did not fair well under that feudal system.
