I can't bring my monkeys to the pub, but I can bring my electrodes and do experiments with YOU! Wanna SEE and HEAR the brain's electrical signal that moves your body? Join me THIS WEDNESDAY (May 15th) for a Pint of Science in #Göttingen ! pintofscience.de/event/pint-o... #pint24de

Day 4 of #S4SN2024! There were so many wonderful talks today, with the fantastic finale - a fresh study on automating cooperative task in marmosets! What a stimulating 4 days! Many thanks to @s4sn.bsky.social for an amazing conference!
A marmoset is giving a presentation in a lecture hall. A projection shows a marmoset's face with keypoint tracking. A monkey is sitting at the back of the lecture hall, thinking about a marmoset in a luchador mask.

Day 3 of #S4SN2024 by @s4sn.bsky.social I saw one of the most engaging talk by Valeria Gazzola and Christian Keysers on cross-species approach. Their conversation-style joint presentation made me feel like I was a kid at a science museum watching the interactive educational show!

Day 2 of #S4SN2024 by @s4sn.bsky.social. Today was half-day, so I got to visit JAXA (Japanese NASA) with two human fMRI researchers! We also went to the AIST Science Square and checked out some cutting edge technology. We then discussed what the next 5 years of social neuroscience will be like.
An apple, a monkey and a puff pastry humanoids are looking at space satellites at a museum and wondering why they are golden.

Tomorrow, I'm presenting my poster at #S4SN2024 by @s4sn.bsky.social If everything goes well, I'll be showing a video of freely moving monkeys foraging together. Special thanks to @zurna.bsky.social and I. Lacal for this collaboration opportunity!

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Larry Young, a founder of the @s4sn.bsky.social, a legend in the field, and a brilliant scientist who is loved by many, many members of this society and beyond. Our #S4SN2025 meeting will be dedicated to the life and memory of Dr. Larry Young! ❤️

Day 1 of #S4SN2024 by @s4sn.bsky.social. The experience has been AMAZING! My matched mentor studies humans. Had Lunch with rat and fish researchers. Sakura beer with hyperscanning expert. It's one thing to have people from diverse fields, but it's next level when everyone is just, so, nice.
A rat, a fish and a monkey looking into a laptop. The fish is explaining how tagged medaka fish looks like.

Having an absolute blast at #S4SN2024! One of the best thing about this community is that you get to mingle with people from diverse fields, from humans to monkeys to rats to medaka fish!

Calling all social neuroscientists who want their research to be robust, reliable and reproducible- make sure to highlight which practices you use to achieve this in your talks and/or posters! There may be some extra treats at the meeting for those who do 😎😎😎

I got to see the "Ganseliesl" today. It is a dramatic tradition in Göttingen for a new PhD achiever. I loved it. I think it makes the PhD worth it. Congrats to her much deserved doctorate degree, for an awesome defence and nailing the question period.
