UTOPIA is a 2018 short story written by me & illustrated by @dotunak.bsky.social. It was one of the comics we published that got us some attention in the Nigerian comics scene at the time. It's still a fun read. To Read: globalcomix.com/read/cb06070... To Download: drive.google.com/file/d/1BsU6...

Screenshots from my story bible for the upcoming 60th Anniversary Special for Black Panther. It proposed a personal story steeped in African Jujuism, brutal action, & tender empathy. To me, a king is shaped by his sense of duty. This story explores that in a fun way. Out Feb26

If the WHR is getting eaten, the Phoenix Force will pull back into itself reflexively the way we pull our fingers away when we touch hot iron. I'm just having fun with Wanda, as if she were a magical Green Lantern at that moment, while giving visual and dialogue cues to these moments.

Weapons like hers are usually top-heavy, so downward cuts are easier. But because she fights mostly in the air, she would not want a weapon where gravity dictates her swings, so the weapon is perfectly balanced instead. The base of the weapon has a heavy pommel to counter the weight of the blade.

Mysteries are an important part of storytelling. They keep us engaged in discussions and speculations as readers and make the eventual reveals much more exciting and rewarding. The nuclear family has always been important to Ororo, and we don't shy away from portraying its value to the goddess.

Storm's white fit shows up in Hellfire Vigil. We should see more of it moving forward. For now, she will be wearing her god armor for THUNDER WAR. Storm's subconscious finds comfort in her mother's ruby being close by; it's why the Eternal Storm form creates a replica. Great questions. 😊
