Hearing thunder followed by rain in the middle of May is nuts. I’m here for it though.

Shoutout to Bad Bunny. Much respect for that performance, message, and displaying the flags from North, Central and South America. As someone whose background is Jamaican and Grenadian, it felt good to see their flags being waived in unison with those other nations. 🇯🇲 🇬🇩

Naomi Osaka apologised, and those people who were desperately trying to villainise her and demand she apologised (for hyping herself up, which is allowed) are still complaining. They didn’t care about any apology, they just wanted an excuse to pile on her. Rinse and repeat.

10 songs deep and I've liked most of the album, but I hate that A$AP Rocky hasn't included feature credits. That will always be a pet peeve of mine of every artist.

Yeah, I’m listening to Ebro, Rosenberg, and Laura’s YouTube show and they congratulated him on the job. I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Kinda interesting that he and Envy are now a n rival stations lol

The company behind Hot 97 let go of Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez partly due to their politics and how open they were about it, then proceed to hire Mero, who also shares their politics and was out campaigning for Zohran Mamdani.

Unbelievable that it's been 10 years since David Bowie passed, what a great loss of a talented man who always found a way to reinvent himself. Bromley legend.

I’ve never forgotten how much I loved first The Sims game, but I did forget how relaxing the soundtrack was. It’s perfect background music. It mostly consists of bossa nova, lounge, and Latin jazz.

I’ve been watching In a Violent Nature for 45 minutes and it’s very, I don’t know how to describe it other than saying “relaxed.” I can’t say I dislike it because I’m l intrigued by the way it’s filmed. One of the most graphic kills ever happens in the movie. You’ve been warned. 🎬

Mayans MC has these recaps before every episode and will sometimes highlight certain moments that occured from like 3-4 seasons ago and it immediately jogs my memory. I'm glad that's something from Sons of Anarchy that didn't go away for this series.

I just learned that there's a new Doctor Who spin-off and the reviews haven't been too kind. Most of the complaints seem to be about the poor sound mixing and how the background music drowns out the dialogue. That would drive me mad.

'Dangerous' was a special album, and a drastic and pleasant shift from Michael Jackson's previous work w/ Quincy Jones. Departing from him couldn't have happened at a better time due to the rise of new jack swing in the early 90s. Janet was having so much success at the time too.

The GTA 6 news has just ruined the next hour of my life until I get over it and realise the game is still going to come out, eventually. Rockstar better be cooking up another trailer to put us peeps at ease while we wait like they did last time.

The Mummy 4 news came out of nowhere, I also forgot there was a third movie. It's going to be cool to see Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz reuniting. I have way more faith in this than the reboot because Radio Silence (Scream 5 & 6, Ready or Not) is directing. 🎬

Opie @ayocarl.bsky.social · 30/10/2025

Scream 7 won't be getting a penny out of me, and it's my favourite horror franchise. Scream 5 ended on a high, and so did Scream 6 with Sam and Tara walking away alive. Radio Silence + Melissa Barrera were a perfect match.

Absolutely devastated about the D’Angelo news, he was so young. Nothing but love to his family and friends. He had an incredible amount of talent. I’m so glad I was put onto his music growing up through my parents. Brown Sugar was the one.

Unilever being profit hungry scum as usual, now they've went as far as to ruin Ben & Jerry's from the inside even more with Jerry stepping down after *47 years* because he's had enough of them trying to silence him for his support of Gaza and other social issues.

Pusha T and Tyler, the Creator both killed it on "P.O.V.", but Malice's verse stuck out to me the most. Especially when he said "came back for the money, that's the Devil in me. Had to hide it from the church, that's the Jekyll in me."
