Dustcats that grow too large become volatile. While dangerous to handle, a volatile Dustcat also presents the opportunity to invoke inordinately powerful magicks. Those who have made eye contact with one describe their eyes as "gazing into an infinite sea of stars more dense than space"

Through the repeated process of being depleted and growing again, a Dustcat's Aspect may change to reflect the Dust in the environment. This is also known to prompt radical changes in the Dustcat's temperament.

100

Deep Space Distro @aykoforever.bsky.social · 25/03/2024

When used in this way, a Dustcat will shrink in size, until it disappears. Left to rest, however, it will accumulate surrounding Dust and grow.

Deep Space Distro @aykoforever.bsky.social · 25/03/2024

However, the magickly inclined have learned that having one nearby, by befriending or capturing it, can fuel and amplify magicks that correspond to its Dust composition, or "Aspect"

Left to settle undisturbed, Helio's **curiosity** is known to take on a very peculiar, deceptively sentient form, called a Dustcat. To most, not much is known about the Dustcats besides their relentless **curiosity**.

Deep Space Distro @aykoforever.bsky.social · 25/03/2024

Those who use Dust to perform magicks choose to think of it as an extension of Helio's **curiosity**, like delicate feelers stretched across the cosmos. Perplexingly diverse in its composition.

Dustcats: Dust, the debris of collapsed stars, Helio's passing children. Swept up by passing warp bubbles, neighboring orbits, and solar winds - it floods every crack, crevice, and gravity well in the galaxy.

Meredith, a spell slinging lunatic with poor hygiene and an even worse sense of self preservation, travels to the Dustbowl to carry out Ilmater's mission of defending the defenseless, in the face of the Galas' crushing might. #dndcharacter #dnd #dnd5e #ttrpg #ttrpgart #weirdart
