An "education" should equip us with the knowledge, skills, and temperament to question people in power. But most schooling (at any level from K-12 and onto graduate school) is designed to push out teachers, students, researchers who actually are interested in education.

As of today, Feb 26, Kansas has invalidated 1000s of trans people’s drivers licenses & birth certificates. The new law mandates that identification docs must show the gender that was assigned to you at birth by some stranger who claimed to know you better than you know yourself.
