The BIGGEST turn off for me is when a guy sees my personal interests as his personal challenge to tweak and adjust them to his way of liking because “what he likes is better.” It’s so gross.

I still have to add background effects, but I finished the bushes. Size 10 needle, beading needle, and a skein of 3865 for scale. These are TINY. Definitely recommend a magnifier for this kind of work. #embroidery #hydrangeas #art

finished another one. I’m going a little crazy trying to figure out the fabric that came with this kit, I even emailed the product line to see if they can tell me. ITS SO SOFT. I have SPD so anything like this that doesn’t catch on my fingers or make my teeth hurt is amazing. #embroidery

I think this one is finished! I used a coloring page for the base and then used a trace pen and added in some additional elements. I also learned about zigzag scissors and now covet them. Beginning to see the allure of a #sewing machine. Hand #embroidery is a gateway drug.

I got some metallic gold thread from DMC and I just *had* to use it, so my midnight blue leaves are getting gold detail. It does noooot work well for french knots though. No it does not. #embroidery #progress

I found a lovely DMC pattern full of oranges! I decided to use fall colors instead, and a black cloth. It’s been fun learning to satin stitch in a circle, trying different looks to see what I prefer, and learning why the order of operations matters. #embroidery #progress

Okay I finished this embroidery pattern. I wish I had listened to my gut about doing the long short stitch for the petals, I just didnt think it made sense, and I had never done it, but I wanted the practice. Still. I learned a lot about chain and long short stitches! #embroidery

I had a heck of a time getting the stick and stitch paper to dissolve, but after several cleanses, it’s done. The threads are a bit knocked about from being shot at with a sprayer, but it should dry and hoop just fine. I’m so happy haha. #embroidery

new embroidery project has begun. So far I’ve learned the lazy daisy stitch and it’s very fun to do. I’m also learning to blend strands from different color skeins to show a gradient. I’m so happy I found this medium. I love this. ^^ #embroidery

Finished ^^ I learned I do NOT like working with super thin fabrics yet. I need to work on tension. pinwheel flowers should go last. Anchor knots need to go way farther away in order to be able to weave them in. Otherwise it’s lovely and I love it <3 #embroidery #botanical

Tonight’s profess on a new piece! My first wheel weave, it’s SO fun. I want to make 100 wheel weaves now lol. I also adore using a dark blue for the leaves and stems. The color palette for this one is just gorgeous. I’ll add some soft blushy pink tomorrow ^^ #embroidery #progress

I’m getting more confident choosing what to keep and what to throw out from these designs. I don’t like the shape of some of the leaves, or sometimes I see colors they suggest that I just think should be different, and it’s been very fun learning to lean into that. ^^ #progress #embroidery
