A simple, quad channel DDR3 based clock for the lab.

Big wooden, steel-frame table with wheels. On top of it, an old ASRock Z97 motherboard with an i7-4790K. Four old GTX 1080 cards side by side in the slots, held by a wire. A dark mechanical keyboard, power supply, and two more graphics cards lying around the motherboard. A tiny mobile display shows the time – from about 24 hours ago, because I spent the rest of the time typing alt text on my iPhone without glasses.

Hat halt auch nen Preis, besonders das zur Verfügung halten. Der größte Nachteil dürften die fehlenden Piloten sein. Bims auch kein Flugzeug Fän, entwickle nur die Technik, hehe. Was Reul da sagt ist so pauschal halt Unsinn. Funktioniert überall auf der Welt, aber nicht in DE. Wie Wärmepumpen, lol.

1/3 der Kosten (Flugstunde), sofortiger Einsatz (Zeit ist alles), kein Abwind der das Feuer anfacht, vierfache Wassermenge (Air Tractor fasst 3t). Im Harz hatten die das mal mit dem Dromader ermittelt, glaube der kann 2t; komnte mehr als zwei Helis. Aber die mieten das Dings auch nur, aus Polen(?).

Und mit „NRW Löschflugzeugen“ meinen ExpertInnen auch nicht CL-415 oder A400M (lol) sondern Agrarflieger („SEATs“), die können (na ja, fast :) überall betankt werden; halbe Betriebskosten. Gab mal ne Fachempfehlung dazu, 2021(?), von EFI, FVA. Hatte die *drumroll* FDP mal im Landtag NRW beantragt :)

Ist ja auch richtig so. Das eine schließt das andere ja aber nicht aus. Geht auch um Hilfe gemäß Vertrag von Lissabon; Katastrophenschutz. Übrigens, die (vorwiegend H145; Löschklasse Typ II) Helis haben im Hürtgenwald ihre Bags an mobilen Löschwasserbecken gefüllt.

Lower body end of a 7 string fanfret guitar. In a sitting position, you can only use a 90° plug. Otherwise you‘ll need to drill a hole through your thigh. Örgs.

Sounds better with a Maxon OD before it. Otherwise it’s just a far too scratchy 5150. Took it home for further investigations. Current “HW only” setup (except for some reverb routed in via the MOTU/RME setup): \m/

Desk at night. A 19” RME and smaller MOTU interface in the back, mouse and pad. The UAFX Anti pedal in the front, complemented by a TC Electronic “Fangs”, a Boss MT-2w and a Boss Poly Shifter pedal in the foreground.

Almost sent it back. Some of the pedal‘s presets are completely unusable. -6dB noise floor, filtered by the internal noise gate, and the remaining 6dB to squeeze the guitar through, lol. The UAFX app is kräp. Holy mackerel. 350 bucks would be justified if Universal Audio combined all pedals into 1.
