MediEvil Resurrection 6/10 Howww did they make the combat *worse* in this one Enemy hitboxes just plain don't work most of the time, it's crazy Also I get that they wanted to go for a different vibe but it feels like they tuned the lighting to be three times brighter than it prolly should've been

BanG Dream! Yume Mita 7/10 I think the way "the conflict" and "the antagonist" got handled kinda soured me on the whole thing for a bit there, unwarrantedly so, mind you, but it did I choose to look past that though, because it has a whole lot of very good moments throughout

even if i ended up beating the game just fine, that + the fact that falling like 10 feet kills Dan on the spot was agonizing like yeah *vials* respawn but i don't want to imagine how many level replays it'd take to top your HP up in the late game highkey glad i didn't play it when i was bad at these

MediEvil II 6.75/10 Makes some baffling backwards design decisions that make the whole thing kinda unfun at times (e.g. fall damage????), and coupled with the almost complete absence of the gothic horror vibes that made the first game what it was, I don't think I liked it much Sadly

MediEvil 7.75/10 It's not a paragon of game design by any means It's clunky, and stiff, and the camera is real bad, and the combat barely qualifies as such But this game did a lot for me in my younger years so it'll always have a special place in my heart

i'll never find the proper screenshot for it but there's a bit in Higurashi where the narrating character says something along the lines of "three people got out of the car. one, two, three. in other words, the car was empty." and it's only the worst offender you usually don't notice it though

Metroid Zero Mission is a remake of the first game, and what it does beyond making it palatable for normal humans, is often giving you map markers telling you where to go Fusion is a way, way more guided experience if you don't care about following the story sequentially, and it was my first one
