While the media obsess over public debt, America’s total debt load silently breaches $120T—a ticking $80T private bomb of corporate credit and AI-driven capex. When a economic downturn hits, this unserviceable private weight converts directly to public ruin.

This graph self explains what happens when the super-rich manipulate their political influence to lower their marginal tax rates. Business failures increase dramatically, commercial activity becomes fragile, and wealth accumulates on the rich. Even Hoover eventually got the message in 1932.

Leaked modified design for the new 'Trump Class' battleship: 100% Green energy via 1.5M sq ft of sail and 25k oarsmen! High employment! Features retractable 16-inch guns, a massive stone-throwing Onager for 'besieging liberal cities,' and a 24/7 Mar-a-Lago ballroom on the stern. Huge!

Leaked blueprints for the Trump-class battleship! Total energy independence: 1.5 million sq ft of sail and 25,000 oarsmen. Highest employment rate at sea! It features a gold-plated ram-bow and a 24/7 "Mar-a-Lago Ballroom" on the stern. Making naval warfare tremendous again!

Scrapping magnetic catapults for steam engines on $13B supercarriers is a bold retro move. Next up: trading stealth jets for wooden triremes, replacing sonar with a guy shouting into a bucket, and hoisting canvas sails. Finally, naval strategy for the year 1776!

The Japanese economic experiment opens a window into the future performance of American stock markets. How they will respond to the Trump era’s destruction of immigration influx and influence, and the inevitable the working age population shrinkage that immigrant deportations will produce? 😏

Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 13/08/2026
Trump is forcing the working age population to shrink. What cascading effect should we expect over the coming years from his actions? Examine the Japanese population isolation experiment (attached graph) to pinpoint the real forcing function. Hint—population isolation poisons the stock markets.

Why did we enjoy a federal budget surplus during the 1990’s? Republicans hallucinate that it was them forcing Bill Clinton into fiscal cuts. Wrong 😑 Nevertheless, it was a earlier Republican action that delivered: Reagan’s immigration amnesty ignited the working age population into growth. 😉

Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 13/08/2026
Why did the 1990’s deliver exceptional economic results compared to, let’s say, Japan? Because the working age population grew. Other reasons offered by political actors are a myth. Why did the working age population grow? The Reagan immigration amnesty. 😏

Trump protests that Americans are being taken advantage of by the rest of the world. An average individual in the U.S. consumes roughly 12 times more oil annually than an individual in India, and nearly 5 times more than an individual in China. Do we look like victims? 😏

This graph shows the daily crude oil production over the last 50 years. The red mark notes the forced reduction necessary if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. We would be forced into 1998 levels. 1998 global population was 5.97B. Today = 8.3B 1998 global GDP was $31.75T. Today = $123.6T

1997 is the year white American males became abnormally suicidal. Why? Gingrich’s welfare reform legislation affected them more than “experts“ have recognized. Gingrich caused emotional and physical pain to his own tribe.

This graphic offers an important function: the ratio of folks classified as “not in the labor force” to the total population. The ratio reveals that the optimal economy occurred in 1997. It has been worsening ever since. We live in a suboptimal employment environment.

Under Biden, post pandemic job growth settled at a healthy 200k yoy rate. Under Trump’s management the economy job growth has decelerated and’s about to become negative in a month or two. Expect the decline to continue until fiscal and tax policies change. The 1930’s tell us how this story ends. 😖

Crude oil prices will continue to fall. Not because we’ve acted smart. Because we’ve damaged the global economic fiber, damaging our own self interest. My correlation predicts that delayed effects will continue to claim economic casualties.

Trump is recreating conditions for a 2008 like economic collapse. By 2026, anger will tip into majority status as living standards fall. They will try blame-shifting on immigrants, Democrats, or foreign scapegoats — but with all branches under GOP control now, credibility will collapse.
Economic Drivers vs. Electoral Anger

Trump and Congressional Republicans are making us angry. The damage they are doing to the economy will make things worse. This is my projection for how things will evolve. The anger will translate into voter support for Democrats.

(3/3) This is not a temporary shock. It is a chain reaction—driven by policy decisions that remove all stabilizers and add no compensating forces. The outcome is mathematically inevitable: recession first, then depression. The only question is how long until we admit we’ve crossed the Rubicon.

(2/3) Because the president can veto corrective legislation, reversing this decline requires a veto-proof majority—unlikely given current GOP alignment. Without bipartisan action, the economy remains locked into a negative reactivity cycle, contracting with each step.

(1/7) “Priorities for the People” isn’t just a slogan—it’s a call to act. Now is the moment to sharpen our message. Before campaign ads flood the airwaves, let’s speak clearly, directly, and strategically. Voters deserve to hear how we’ll put people first. Let’s begin now.

(1/6) Americans deserve a government that works for the people—not just the powerful. That’s why we’re building a clear, practical, and focused agenda to deliver real results if voters give us a majority in the House next year. This it’s about progress that touches lives, lowers costs.

The “not in labor force” is an underreported category that has grown to exceed 100 million persons. You may have to use your imagination to reason through the problem. The root cause has not been studied. A major social transition/directional change occurred concurrent with the government changes.

The Republican 1994 “Contract with America” upended our social welfare and economic structure. Did it work? This graphic shows the ratio of Americans “not in labor force” to the total population. What does it mean? The Republican policy forced workers out of the labor force, and they never returned.

(1/5) Trump’s MAGA agenda revives an ancient resentment. His base, convinced they’re entitled to dominate, blames minorities for economic woes. By dehumanizing and banning books, he fuels a toxic cult that longs for a time when blatant white supremacy was celebrated.

The Great Depression’s stock market collapse came to pass as a result of the cascading effects of export losses, which lowered corporate cash receipts. Trump has exposed us to the same precarious economic conditions.
051
Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 05/04/2025
Great Depression was triggered by the economic impact of export losses. Herbert Hoover promised tariffs during his presidential campaign. Trade and industrial activity declined ahead of the stock market collapse. Now, Trump has created a similar, if not worse, toxic economic set up.
065
Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 04/04/2025
Trump’s tariffs will repeat 1930’s deflationary collapse. Exports then were 6% of GDP; today, they’re 12%. Retaliation will destroy demand, jobs will vanish, and fiscal policy is tightening. The Fed can’t print demand. The real crisis isn’t inflation—it’s deflation.

(2/2) The increased death/suicide rate started, sharply, in 1997. What happened on that year that could have precipitated the change? Gingrich’s “Welfare Reform.” It destroyed the safety net that offered social stability, and damaged the psyche of white males. Gingrich damaged his own tribe.

Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 21/03/2025
(2/2) The 1929 Great Depression steady stock prices decline followed the steady loss of exports that came about when foreign countries retaliated against the Republican imposed import tariffs. Sounds familiar? The exports and stock prices declines were lengthy and punishing.
011
Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 18/03/2025
Observe how in 1929, the loss of exports came first, followed by decline in economic activity, which in short order created unemployment. The table is set up for a replay of an almost identical scenario.
110
Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 18/03/2025
Correction. It’s $3.2 trillion. Still, it’s 12% of GDP. In 1939, exports only accounted for 6% of GDP. We have more to lose today. It will create internal deflation and high unemployment.
111
Axiom Veritas @axiomveritas.bsky.social · 17/03/2025
We export $3.2 trillion worth of goods and services. Those sales can evaporate from the economy because the internal market cannot absorb them. The excess capacity will force a deflation spiral that will sink company profits, employment, and stocks. That’s how the Great Depression came to be.

Our economy can’t return to its best until the marginal tax rate for the rich returns to the 1947 level: 90%. Fewer businesses failed then than at any other time in our history. Back then America rocked! The economy grew, inflation was low, and sharp increases in real living standards came to be.

Cascading Consequences Ahead Cascading effects generate consequences. The 1920’s Republicans raised tariffs on imports (Smoot-Hawley Act) promoting more government revenue and prosperity. Didn’t work out as advertised. www.semafor.com/article/02/2...

Republican politics isn’t about the best tax ideas, but about pushing the narrative of their donors. The public gets bombarded with controlled messaging, and media spin. Most people don’t have the time or energy to dig deeper. The same narrative set up the Great Depression: America without money.
