Native C++ projects document source dependencies. But what about machine dependencies? Compiler, SDK, runtime, binary provenance, build matrix, expected artifacts… Maybe AI agents need a `BUILD-CONTRACT.md` before they need another prompt. Make the environment part of the specification.

If a native C++ application declares 28 build configurations and an agent gets just one of them to build, has it really reconstructed the environment? I’d say no For us, validating all 28 configurations was part of the proof. The build matrix wasn’t just a test plan. It was part of the specification

Axialis @axialis.com · 11/10/2026
Old C++ projects often have a dependency that isn’t in Git: **the developer’s machine.** Compiler versions, SDKs, runtimes, binary provenance, environment variables, years of accumulated assumptions… AI agents are making that hidden dependency much easier to see.

Axialis @axialis.com · 11/10/2026
Getting one native C++ build to pass is not the same as rebuilding the development environment. The real test is whether an AI agent can reproduce the result across every declared configuration, on a clean machine. A passing build is an event. A rebuilt environment is a repeatable system.

What should an AI agent remember and what can it simply reload? Content is often easy to fetch again. But object identity, constraints, selection and unresolved state can be much harder to reconstruct. The real challenge may be deciding what must survive.

Disabling a user isn't the same as deleting one. Locking an account is different, too. Yet these actions often look nearly identical in admin interfaces. When the consequences differ, the icons should make that clear. Especially before someone clicks.

An AI agent can re-read a document. What’s harder to recover is state: the active object, current revision, constraints, and previous edits. Semantic tools make that state explicit instead of forcing the agent to rediscover it.

Adding one badge is easy. Applying the same badges consistently across an entire icon set is the real workflow problem. IconVectors 2.10 can combine every selected base icon with every selected badge in one batch. 3 base icons × 2 badges = 6 new SVG files. Originals stay untouched.
000
Axialis @axialis.com · 07/10/2026
Optimizing 200 SVGs shouldn’t mean rewriting 200 files. IconVectors 2.10 previews the batch first and only replaces an SVG when the optimized result is actually smaller. No unnecessary rewrites. No blind changes.

Axialis @axialis.com · 07/10/2026
Sometimes the color you need is already visible in another application. The new Windows eyedropper in IconVectors 2.10 samples anywhere on screen with a magnified preview. Left-click → Fill Right-click → Stroke

Axialis @axialis.com · 07/10/2026
For an AI agent editing graphics, a stable object ID can be more valuable than a large block of context. The SVG can usually be read again. But if the agent loses track of which object it was modifying, reconstruction becomes much more expensive.

A machine icon is only part of the story. Industrial UIs also need to show whether that machine is running, stopped, unavailable, in maintenance or needs attention. That quickly becomes a design-system problem, not just an icon problem.
