Aracely Quispe Neira, DSc, is a Peruvian-born astronautical engineer. 
Inspired by the Apollo 11 Moon landing, she earned a degree in systems engineering in Peru before continuing her education in the US.She is the first Latin-American woman to lead three successful NASA missions: Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, and James Webb Space Telescope.

A passionate STEM advocate, Quispe-Neira started AQN, a personal project to encourage young women in Latin America to pursue STEM careers.

Maria Elena Bottazzi, PhD, is a Honduran-American microbiologist and vaccinologist. Her research has focused on the development of vaccines for neglected tropical diseases, including hookworm, schistosomiasis, Chagas disease, and leishmaniasis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her collaborators developed the vaccine Corbevax and made it available without patent restrictions to expand global access. Bottazzi has received numerous honors for her scientific and humanitarian contributions, including election of the National Academy of Medicine.

Hernández joined NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2013, developing scientific instruments for the Mars Perseverance rover.She also served as a flight systems engineer for the NASA mission exploring the metal-rich asteroid Psyche. An advocate for Latinas and other underrepresented groups in STEM, she was honored with a Hispanic Heritage Foundation STEM Award in 2021.

Anna Winlock was an American astronomer and the first paid female staff member of the Harvard College Observatory.
After her father’s death in 1875, Winlock joined the Harvard College Observatory to help support her family.
She was part of a group known as the Harvard Computers, which translated astronomical observations into precise scientific data. Winlock made major contributions to the Astronomische Gesellschaft Katalog, a milestone in stellar cataloging.

Claudia Alexander, PhD, was a geophysicist and planetary scientist at NASA. 
Alexander worked at the United States Geological Survey and the Ames Research Center, before joining NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. 
She was the last project manager of NASA’s Galileo mission to Jupiter, and also project scientist for the ESA’s Rosetta mission, which studied Comet 67P.After her death in 2015, a feature on Comet 67P was named “Claudia Alexander Gate” in her honor.
