Happy new year. May your year have the smile of Willy, the energy of Brendan, the stability of Pascal, the acceleration of DJ, the ice cold finishing of Joel, the back flip of Largie, the leadership of Ethan, the prowess of Rodon and absolutely nothing at all of Victor Orta’s.

What books about football are must reads that I don't already have? Finished "Inverting the Pyramid", "World Class", and "And It Was Beautiful". Starting "Soccer In The Sun and Shadow" next then I'll read "The Damned United".

Meslier drives me crazy. He can make the amazing saves that he shouldn't, but those simple ones close to his body go in every time

Just about 3 years ago I started following football (soccer) from here in the US. I got tired of telling the story of how I started, why I started, and who i support so I wrote a free substack and posted it. Give it a read to know the story. open.substack.com/pub/awahl32?...

Meslier has 9 clean sheets on the season so far. That's because of the defense in front of him. He let's in too many goals that should be saved, but saves the ones that would be worldies. It doesn't make sense. He will get cooked again in the Prem. Need a new 1 when we go up.
