I've mentioned to a friend that I was looking for more substance into my art journey, and they responded that including and besides the journey, they think I have a fuck ton of substance from the eight years we've socialized. I think that's pretty good, looking back.

I think the challenge will be to put these puzzle pieces together for a sense of cohesion, especially in my art journey. I don't have an end goal, and motivations to do art have changed a lot of times, from positive/negative vibes throughout. All I know is I want to keep pushing myself. I need to.

The thing is, I have a lot of puzzle pieces. My media diet, up to what I believe in, is a conglomeration of disparate and desolate interests. Actual pop culture that's popular, niche shit, and pretty much anything that came across my eyeballs since being online since 1998.

I've had a few dms now about this and people not drawing because they're daunted about how much they have to learn and how many years it will take. It's completely missed they point, draw because you want to draw TODAY, what you will become tomorrow is secondary.

Addressing a minor pet peeve when I see people try to censor sensitive info using the phone. The markers has a transparency that you can see the text if you don’t do it right. Instead just use a solid shape to cover.

Looking over this artwork map, I do want to up my skill where I can have a coherent method to my madness - and the last two zones is kinda where I'm picturing my art direction to go, just based on the data alone. Eventually, as mentioned in that vent thread, I wanna have more substance too.

I think my gameplan is taking self-research as a start. So far this resulted in noticing at least 6 different phenotype zones my artwork falls into. This only analyzes the end result of artwork and not the process, mindset, chronology and the switch from SAI to CSP using specific brush packs.

One thing I like doing to reduce stress is organizing, taking inventory, putting some work in to feel structure. Today I spent time painstakingly putting all my artworks (2013 - 2026) in a PureRef document and organizing artwork by what visually looks similar. This is a current first pass at it.

This thread was a moment of weakness but I'm doing better, especially after watching this vid. Morality scaling of using cringe to reframe and discourage oneself from harmful behaviors = possibly immoral, but fuck it. At least I got convinced away from doing a bad idea.
