I am happy and excited that I'm going to be talking to @panelborders.bsky.social later this month, about my comics and stuff, at The Walrus in Brighton on Monday 26th October.

Pigs on a Train Part 283 There's more reality to this than I'm comfortable admitting.

Let's try this again 14 weeks ago I put out a comic about a man who asks a lady on a date, to go waterskiing. It was the most popular thing I've ever done, and it got 90000+ views and 4226 likes on Instagram (and one like on Blue sky!)

But maybe it'll be even more successful than the first! It's not impossible - this one's better because it's got 12 panels, which is four panels better than the first one.

I thought it might be interesting to do a sequel to it. Fully in the anticipation that it'll go down as well as the last page of Pigs on a Train/a lead balloon.

it's strange to think how more people have seen that one comic than have seen all my other comics work put together.

Pigs on a Train Part 282 Part 282! only 18 left before we get to 300, and I'm planning on stopping this story when we get there. I'm really enjoying writing the interactions with God again though. Is 18 pages enough time for me to get bored of it again? Probably, yes.

Pigs on a Train part 281 Yes, He's back! I really like Him, so I think He'll be around for a while now. It's more fun, than just having comics about me living in someone else's house, encountering random dentists.

Why was it so hard to find a fire exit? Normally they're everywhere you look. What if there's a fire down there?

I've been trying to find ways of making comics that feel fun and interesting again, so I drew this one BIG, in pencil and then watercolour. I seem to have come up with a format that is almost impossible to cut up into individual images for instagram, but it works fine on here.

This is by far the most in-depth and insightful review of anything I've done. Please have a listen

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

I haven't made much new work lately, partly because I wanted to see what would happen to my latest instagram post with the comic about waterskiing, without me interfering (over 4000 likes for some reason), and then there was A.R.C. comic fair. But I'm back now, maybe.

I'm at. @arcfestivallondon.bsky.social and I've put my books on the table and the Sumup machine is working so that makes it sound like I'm ready, but I don't FEEL ready.

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

I'm going to be selling my comics and talking to people from behind a table at @arcfestivallondon.bsky.social this weekend, so come along and say hello! I'll have both my @averyhill.bsky.social books, and loads of self-published stuff, and hopefully prints, and whatever else I can find.

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

Thanks! The work I put on Instagram is pretty much the same as I put on here, just in a different format. And I've been doing it for a lot longer, so there's more of it. Feel free to have a look!

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

Ha ha! Do you think she'd have said yes if it was a different movie?

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 16/06/2026

I've been trying to exercise my creative writing muscles again, because ideas aren't coming as easily as they used to. This is what came out yesterday. I quite like it.

Pigs on a Train part 276 I hope you all appreciate how I made this page even though it's been far too hot for all the exertion that's involved in writing and drawing

031

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

It surprised me how offensive I find it

010

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

This is a great opportunity for you to get my other graphic novel, It's Cold in the River at Night, at 25% off! (And a load of other good stuff too)

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 22/05/2026

Pigs on a Train part 275 Yes I'm still at it. One day we'll get to the end, but that day isn't today

031

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

Actually that was part 1 AND part 2. I should stop mindlessly copying and pasting from Instagram

020

Alex Potts @avpotts.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

So I went to Sevenoaks for some reason... Read this, and then read part 2, and then buy my book, Was That Normal, even if you've already got it.
