Genuinely it was so fun and I finally feel like i have the motivation to go 10 star it like i did for regbrella

170

I played CCA qual 1 with mostly bambrella and it felt amazing. I can feel my aim is getting much better with it and I def think its now comparable to my reg brella mechanics (if not just a little lesser). It was really fun to play again and its brought and end to the love hate relationship lol

1100

While its different i think its similar enough that its worth a good try and if it doesnt work out then thats okay

110

Cycle is also feeling extremely well right now and doesnt feel as powerless as reg brella can sometimes. You also dont have to drop reg brella for it, they’re close enough where you can play both at the same time, thats what I’m doing

If you want to give something else a shot I’d recommend to try playing some recycle brella. Its not quite the same as reg brella but i’ve been finding it just as fun and it still plays pretty similarly (i kinda think of reg brella and cycle’s relationship to be like splattershot and shot pro)

I deal with this a lot, i’d really recommend starting your days with a journal or just some paper and braindumping. Write down all of the thoughts you have, all the things you have to do/want to do. The goal for this is to bring clarity and get all the thoughts out of your head

Pale white dots on a light green background. White text in a green bubble says, "Chronically Krill"; below it in green text over a white background is text saying, "A Community for Disabled Cephalopods! and allies!" To the left of the text is Krilliam, a shrimp holding a walking stick that looks like Splatoon's Bamboozler Charger.

No one should expect it to run smooth the first time and we shouldnt let that fact stop us from trying. Regardless of weather Nintendo does it or not because we are a grass roots scene we dont need to do only what nintendo does. Nintendo doesnt do zones only and yet area cup does very well so yknow

040

Specifically in regards to this ban system we barely have any experimentation with it. In the west we’ve ran one big tournament with pick ban and that was Jared’s tournament a while back. There’s so much more iteration and experimentation to be done

140

If we stop discussion of new systems at the first glance because its not easy to do then we stop ourselves from opportunities to improve the scene. Discussion should be both sides arguing not to shoot the other side down but rather to find the most successful solution from either side.

140

I’ve seen a lot of discussion that just kinda ends at “its not logistically feasible” but there’s no venturing into how it could become logistically feasible and thats like the whole point of discussing something like ban systems.

I feel like people often give up on ideas because at first glance its too logistically trouble some. I think that it often ends up being just a poor excuse to not further explore an idea. This is of course in relation to weapon bans. Lots of people I see are just leaving it as “logistics are hard”

Commentators, you must acknowledge failures as much as great plays. It’s not mean, it’s exciting. So much fun comes from “oh no” moments as a spectator. Trust your judgement and be emotionally invested in the players’ success.

So true, though I’d need some hella high heels for that. *sigh* time to order 6 inch heels for seabattle (it still wont be enough)

020

I mean they can, depending on the place there’s very little stopping men from wearing heels :3

000

Usually I like being short but I cant lie wearing heels is really fun (when its not painful lol)
