I was being profiled by chaotic, impulsive, disorganized, and clutter creating neurotypes; to protect my own nervous system I removed the words "calm, mindful, empathetic, organized, minimalist" from my profiles. My neurotype cant be exposed to chaos makes me agitated and affects my immune system

So I carry on and do what many of my elders did, they outsourced! You have to pay someone to meet you for coffee, pay a person to go for a walk with you, and pay to have emotional and intellectual connection. And if they didnt have the money, they went on solo hangouts in a different town.

One of the best forms of radical self care I've done within the past 5 yrs is NOT to remind "friends", BIPOC community members, or LGBTQIA community members that what I need the most is to: 1) meet up with them for a 1:1 *platonic* coffee or tea hangout and/or 2) go for a walk together.

Homelessness and disability are not a choice. They aren’t a moral failing. No one is guaranteed health or security. It just takes one accident, infection or catastrophic event to change your life forever. People need & deserve support and our system chooses to let them suffer instead.

Disability and homelessness often go hand in hand. Being sick is expensive. The “crip tax” is real. Benefits force you into legislated poverty and make you give up any savings or security. People don’t want to rent to the disabled. It’s suffering as a policy choice.

Some ND folks need to be honest that they are profiling for a HighlyEmpathetic person who has high ExecutiveFunction skills who can be happy when their partner spends weeks/months of alone time while they focus on their special interest + avoid their ND toolkits. Theres a match for everyone.

Climate crisis is not something many managers think about. Many really dont care if you dont have the personal gloves, boots, or hat to do the task and there are union blocks that state some staff can not do facilities tasks (for valid reasons). Ex: shoveling There are loopholes and I was used

She was pleased that I got the task done and requested I do it again the next day. My body had bruises, bones & joints hurt. I resigned in the morning effective immediately. The union and HR couldnt do anything, the Librarian bosses request was reasonable and part of my job to transport books.
