I recommend if you buy it, to buy directly from aseprite because not only do you get a steam code, you can also directly download for windows, mac and linux for the same price

you can make art with anything you can even make pixel art with just about any software, free or paid but aseprite is fantastic, especially for pixel art, and is very worth it for this price you can check the #pixelart tag by user - anything by me July 2026 or later is made in aseprite

First attempt / sketch / reference

Rough watercolor painting of Musse with her fish

A cleaned-up pencil sketch of Musse and her fish. It's a lot closer to what we saw in the finished painting.

this was painted with the new brush and was able to get a lot more definition in the eyes and stripes. did have to redo the neck stripes once. this is just black but I'm optimistic!

First iteration I'm still struggling a lot with finer details like eyes - I switched to a new brush yesterday but both of these were painted before the switch so hoping the brush helps me control how much water and pigment are deposited

A messier painting of Beryl in the same pose (no background)

#art #traditionalart #watercolor #trails #kiseki #trails_fa #beryl #ベリル we're just going to pretend her character model has a veil over her eyes... I like how the flowers came out!

Watercolor illustration of Beryl from Trails of Cold Steel IV. She's wearing a black Victorian dress and bonnet, standing in a field of abstract blobs of color to represent flowers.

so this one was originally intended for the sky 1st countdown...I saw it in the demo and thought it was just so cool but I bit off more than I could chew and couldn't get it to look "good" so shelved it until I was looking at the prompts for this year really happy I took it on again!
