I recently had the opportunity to fire out at @eastcreekart again after a few years away in the #chickencat - lovely humans and lovely results. Thanks @darahlundbergceramics for making it all happen and taking a few pics for me! #woodfire #eastcreekart

Does anyone else have a mind that won’t quiet down at times. Feels/sounds a bit like horseflies in here. Yes. Horseflies… a brief overview: “…they are relentless and will bite humans and animals until they get a blood meal.” Stay hopeful dear ones.

Hey there, just thought yall might want to put a face to a name. Here’s me, today. And yes that’s ceramic toilet paper… part of a larger collaborative COVID themed totem. Choosing to find joy in the dark cracks.

Studio scene: Trying to piece together the many moving parts. Looking for a unifying body.

Be like the Rollie Pollie… a composter. Taking what is rotten and rotting and turn it into essential nutrients for planting a rich garden.

Grateful for this wood-fire community and artists I can continue to learn from.

After the first firing there has been cracking where the bug attaches to its world. When combing two clays that react differently under heat, results can be great or have irreparable damage. I’m convinced that there is a path for the pieces to work together - I keep trying. Bug/political musings.
