Getting closer to the finish line, but this weekend is coming to an end. I'll have to pick it up next weekend. A lot of web analytics does funnels, but unlike other features, all do it a bit differently. You got any unique takes on it? #BuildInPublic

While working on funnels I realized Simplytics has gotten a need of better navigation, so I started work on that too. Which got kind of messy since funnels isn't finsihed. Also turns out comparing months of views to a few days of funnel data makes the conversions look very bad... #BuildInPublic

I think thats always going to be a problem, but at the same time it's hard to build and audience in a indie hacking community without actually building anything

Most probable scenario is that someone has already done this or thought of it and realized it was a bad idea. But if you really got that golden idea then get maybe get halfway done before you start building in public, that way If someone decides to copy you they will have to be 2x faster than you

that doesn’t contain a bunch of extra features that want asked of it. That’s what I call bloatware. But in the end I think you’re partly right, I might miss out on a customer.

I think you’re half right. But most people do not use a adblocker that blocks JS from sending posts to other websites. And if they’re actively choosing to do this then I find it weird to want to use this tech themselves. If it’s not an active choice, then I hope they find another adblocker

Yes I understood that. But I can’t imagine I would get many customers that themselves are against every form of tracking, even the GDPR compliant. Using such blocker and then installing what you are blocking on your own website would be very ironic.
